OCZ Agility 4 128GB 2.5IN SATA3 6GB/S Indilinx Everest 2 Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD
Cons:Bought this drive because of sale price and rebate offer (cheap). The drive went dead upon trying to format. Nice flat brick. Got a refund and in the end with shipping cost I'm out 22 dollars.
Pros:This would be a good SSD for putting games on or other unimportant items for fast load ups only. Comment:
I would never use this drive for my OS, business programs or important backups.OCZ drives are always on sale with perpetual rebates making them the cheapest SSD going. You have to wonder where are they cutting cost to sell them so cheap. Reliability is very questionable. Even with a 3 or 5 year warrenty as an incentive it's not worth the pain of a claim and loss of data when you could have spent another 20-40 dollars more to avoid it. They are fast drives but speed is not the most important factor. I'll probably go for a Samsung 830 SSD next time around. |
At the time of writing (2013.02.28), current price is set at $178, and this my friend, is some expensive piece of hardware. But I got at $115 back in November 2012, and it's worth every cent I spent on it. Once the mobo has booted up, it takes 7 seconds for my Windows 8 logon screen to appear. 7 seconds. I mean, wow.
