Yes you do have to overclock to get the 1066mhz (533mhz each), which can screw up your plans to overclock your processor if you want exactly the 1066mhz. Also, the BIOS on my EP45-UD3P mobo identifies them as being 800mhz capable, but don't let that worry you, they're obviously made for 1066. Definately going to stick with this until 4gb sticks become available.

Bought these as an upgrade and have decided to buy another pair. They come clocked at 400MHz, so to get it to the 533MHz they advertise you have to OC the RAM. The timings are printed on the RAM. Just tweak the BIOS settings and you're good to go, not a big deal. My timings were 6-7-7-20.

Running windows 7 with 4 gigs of this ram and 4 gigs of gskill 1066. clocked it down to 800 4-4-4-12 2T timimg..... wicked fast.

On some motherboards (e.g. MSI K9N2..), you'll need to set your DRAM voltage to at least +2.05 to achieve the 1066 speed. Not the best out there but not bad for the price.

Decent RAM for the price, wanted another set of the good Corsair stuff but it was sold out (priced about $15 cheaper than this at the time). Little aggravating to have to tweak BIOS settings to get the advertised speed, but you'll probably be in there anyway. Has ran well so far at advertised speeds.

For the price, this RAM really delivers! One thing I noticed, just the other day (after a PC cleaning), was that the RAM hardly gets hot! (compared to most brands I've had before). I pulled the sticks out after a serious gaming session and shutdown and they were barely warm to the touch! No worries about cooling here, unless you put your PC through some serious stress. Integrated cooling method is amazing!

I am not into over clocking my RAM so I can not review how well this RAM holds up against that. Odd thing tho, I put this into my gaming rig and windows vista 32 bit gave this ram like a 5.4. I put this RAM into another decent gaming rig running windows vista 64 bit and I got a full 5.9. Not sure if it's a windows thing or motherboard thing, but I thought it strange for the two scores to be off so much. Anyways this RAM works as it should and it worth the value, and the heatsinks feel strong and not cheap which is a bonus.

Great memory for the price. I did have to adjust the frequency and timing in my MoBo manually since it detected it incorrectly. The latency is somewhat higher than others but for the price it can't be beat.
