Completely incredible, incredibly fast, great for any speed freak's arsenal. Takes Windows 7 64bit 3 seconds to boot from the Windows logo to the desktop. Every thing opens immediately!!!!Super straightforward set up. I read alot of negative evaluations about questionable ocz driver assistance durring the os install, and all sorts of issues booting from this device. OCZ need to have gotten their act with each other, since all I had to do was F6 the raid driver, just like any other raid situation. Windows Immediatly saw the drive and was able to partition, format, set up, and boot with out incident.Totally no troubles booting on this device working with gigabyte 880GA-UD3H. I installed my ATI video card into the major pcie16x slot, and installed the HSDL controller into the second pcie4x slot, and set bios to boot off HSDL controller. I was a small disappointed when I plugged the sata power into this device and the power connector on the drive kinda broke and push into the drive enclosure. While it nonetheless functioned, I seriously didnt like the way that felt, so I called newegg the subsequent day, and they sent me a new 1, without incident. Thanks for the wonderful help newegg... My wife doesn't fully grasp why I'm so excited.NO exposed electronic elements.Drives seem encased in an enclosure. In no way gets hot. When loading driver, it mentions softraid in the description of the device.Bios posts displays four 25gb SSDs in a raid ^^. I could likely get 4 60gb ocz agility ssds for about the similar cost, and use my motherboard's onboard softraid. |

Quickly - uses a pci-e slot- directions don't mention the needed energy cable. Devoid of it I got a pci-e init error.- drivers had to be downloaded, because they weren't included with the package. Integrated drivers and clear directions are good, but I got this drive simply because it is quick. The cons were minor troubles. |
Seriously rapid when you get it to run, genuinely a discomfort to get it going, beware when you obtain these, Its not a plug and play item, you have to go great extendt to get it up and operating, OCZ doesnt send any information with it, no disks, no drivers, no enable, I searched for days to get the correct drivers for it then it still wouldnt function with windows 7 64bit. Wow exactly where do I commence, you invest that a lot funds on this and they dont even send a disk to enable you install it, not even a inst manual, I had to down load that also, then you have to format it for all four channels to get it in raid , have been not done, then you have to find and load the drivers not just a single but two, a single for the controller card so your systems see's the device in the PCI slot and an additional one for the SSD itself, then you have to set the bios up so it see's it, then when you load windows you have to get the drivers off a flash drive or where ever you downloaded it from and put it onto and get it from there and load each of them up for you then you can load windows, I virtually RMA'd this but hung inthere lead to it was a challenge and got it. I know this will be the final one I will ever get so Beware all of you. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you had troubles getting this solution functioning on your technique.
