OCZ ModXStream Pro 400W ATX 20/24PIN Modular Cables 140MM Fan Active PFC Power Supply
Cons:extra SATA instead of 4 pin molex cable would have been nice
Pros:Modular cabling, compact size, 120 mm fanCool and quiet Comment:
80Plus and modular cabling for a small mATX build made this the perfect choice. Much prefer the sleeved cables as opposed to the flat ones - find them easier to route in tight places. Running 4GB OCZ DDR2, Xeon 3110, 250GB and a 500GB with a 8800GT with no issues. Draws 0.08A, 9W while system off; 1.00A, 102W draw at system idle. Draws 1.3A, 150W running Othos and Prime95. No info yet for graphics load, but that's not the main use of this PC. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-27-09 02:45 PM |

OCZ ModXStream Pro 400W ATX 20/24PIN Modular Cables 140MM Fan Active PFC Power Supply
Cons:400 Watt
Pros:Sturdy Design. Removable Cables. Nice Color. Good Value Comment:
This is a very good choice for any computer that is not too fast, but is still requiring quality components. The removable cables are a good addition so you can pick and choose. Perfect for tight cases or see through ones. |

OCZ ModXStream Pro 400W ATX 20/24PIN Modular Cables 140MM Fan Active PFC Power Supply
Cons:none at this point
Pros:quiet, energy efficient 82+modular, some may consider this a weakness too Comment:
Energy efficient power supply, I dropped my power consumption at the outlet by 10+ watts (about 14%) at idle compared to the none 80+ power supply it replaced. From the reviews this seemed to be in a group that did better at less than 20% load, some the efficiency drops off quickly below the 20%.Very happy with it , seems to be quality build. No experience with these for life expectancy.Modular is good but not huge advantage. Saved a couple of cables in case. |

OCZ ModXStream Pro 400W ATX 20/24PIN Modular Cables 140MM Fan Active PFC Power Supply
Cons:nothing, seriously, this is an amazing product
Pros:Great price, modular Comment:
As far as I can tell, this PSU is perfect. Low price, great looking finish, quiet, modular. What else can you ask for? I don't know how long this thing will last but it works great right now. I have a Phenom II 710, a 4850, 1 HDD, 1 CD drive and a network card. Most people overestimate the power usage of their computers but 400 W is perfect for my build. I have a larger rig with a X2 6000 and a 4870X2 and on load it never goes above 450 W. |

OCZ ModXStream Pro 400W ATX 20/24PIN Modular Cables 140MM Fan Active PFC Power Supply
Cons:-Not enough Wattage for newer systems
Pros:-Modular-Good Cooling-Sleek Black look Comment:
This was an excellent power supply. A client of mine was having a problem with their old computer shutting down under stress. I determined that it was due to the power supply's age so I bought this one. Their computer also lacked adequate cooling which this power supply provided. The large fan and modular cables kept the case cool and functional during all intensive tests. One drawback though is simply that 400W will not power the latest systems, yet I would highly recommend it for replacing an old power supply in a similar situation as above. |
I bought this power supply for HTPC (it is in a Silverstone Lascala 17B). The fact that this power supply is modular made the cabling a lot easier (and also allowed for improved air flow). The 6-pin PCIe connector is not being used. Currently being used to power Asus M3A78-EM, AMD X2 7750, 2x1TB hard drives, and ASUS 9500GT.
