This is a decent keyboard for the price when on sale. It's small and lightweight which makes it ideal for moving around between servers and machines that aren't always being interacted directly with.It feels like a laptop keyboard, which is a downfall, but it does make it a bit smaller / shorter for storage when not in use.I wouldn't use this as an every day keyboard. This is worth 10$.. but shouldn't be labeled a gaming keyboard. It looks nice, and works, but the keys are somewhat awkwardly close together and the left shift key is shrunken and replaced with a backslash (wtf)... Also, you cant hit the '2' key while holding down the 'W' key, so anyone who plays FPS games should consider this as well. it feels nice, but the pro's do not outweigh the cons. For 10$, i'll recommend this to a casual pc user. But not to a gamer.. even for 10$, you can do better.

Though i did have trouble with this at the start worked in dos mode, but once vista booted up, didn't recognize keyboard until i hit power button keyboard, it has worked flawlessly. The absolute beautiful part of this keyboard, depressed keys don't make a sound. I don't wake up anyone else in the room when i'm surfing or typing on the keyboard. very nice soft feel to the keyboard.

I'm a fast typer, but on this keyboard, the keys are stiff and too packed together. the biggest turnoff is the short left shift. I have absolutely no idea why the / is placed there.whereas elixir I keyboards, you are able to customize your keyboard. this elixir II keyboard. there is NO WAY that you can change the default settings.

picked it up when it was 5bucks after MIR but even at full price its a decent keyboard to replace your old one. Extremely bright blue light for your caps lock button and whatnot.

The keyboard was perfect for its sale of $10, its softkey technology helps me type a lot faster. And I'm the type of guy who dislikes small keys on laptops, so this was a good replacement. However, I wouldnt suggest this for a gaming keyboard because the W and 2 key cannot be pressed at the same time which made it hard to switch guns in cs. Also,for those who are generally soft on your spacebar, I tend to find myself having to slam the spacebar for it to actually work. Overall, I would suggest you invest in a better keyboard such as first elixer.

This keyboard is great, it is light, and slim so it enables me to type much faster. Also, "Delete, End, and Pagedown" keys are very close to arrow keys so it is very good for Maplestory players to use hotkeys fast.If you have long nail I don't recommend it.If you play FPS games I don't recommend it only because while pressing w (going front in FPS) you cannot press 2 (taking out pistol)so while going front in FPS you cannot take out pistol.Left shift is a bit of pain at first but I am very fast typer and I got used to it within a day so it not really a problem for me.The reason why I recommend this keyboard for everyone (other than FPS players)1. It is cheap2. It is slim,light,small ( I love slim keyboards it makes me type faster)3. It looks much cooler than other cheap keyboards.

This keyboard is okay as long as one keeps one's expectations low and does not expect to type lengthy documents using it. It works, needs no drivers (not that it does anything particularly unusual) and it looks quite nice. It is more compact than my regular keyboard, without sacrificing key size.Don't confuse this with the regular "Elixir" which is, I suspect, a bit better (I once tried it in the store briefly and enjoyed the rubber keys). This keyboard, the Elixir II, has rubbery keys as well, but it seems that black decals are applied over the gray key tops and upon which the graphics are printed.The keyboard has 2 or 3 blue LED indicators (I am not entirely certain; see explanation below). Thankfully, contrary to popular custom, the LEDs are not ridiculously bright, though I would prefer them slightly dimmer in any case. The LEDs are below a black masking with cutouts in the shape of a 1, an A, and a downward-pointing arrow. I do not know the significance of the latter, for it does not respond to any key presses as far as I can tell (including Scroll Lock).The hinged plastic supports that one uses to incline the keyboard for more comfortable typing do the job. They do seem a little flimsy, though I suppose that is par for the course as the golfers like to say.The three "macro" keys work in Linux out of the box, to my surprise. Unfortunately the Power button actually suspends the machine, and the key with a label similar to the Microsoft browser icon doesn't seem to do anything (in Ubuntu at least). This is not a big deal since, in the grand tradition of Linux, it can be reconfigured (in the OS, not the keyboard).One big annoyance is the extra Pipe/Backslash key adjacent to the left Shift key. For the life of me I cannot imagine who would want or need that, and the choice of location is utterly hideous in my opinion. My MSI Wind has a similar key there, but it is equipped with a bilingual keyboard, which the Elixir II is not.Unlike my other keyboards, the keytops on Elixir II are arranged in a plane, rather than a curved profile (as viewed from the edge). This could cause discomfort during prolonged use. The keytops themselves are also flat, instead of concave as is customary. I feel that the use of the term "ergonomic" in the description is inaccurate; the entire keyboard is reminiscent of a sort of black wafer (but an attractive one).Finally, the keys protrude above the surrounding chassis by only 1 millimetre. This is not really a problem, with a single large exception: the Space bar is difficult to depress reliably. As a touch-typist normally types with one's wrists on the desk and uses a thumb to depress the Space bar, one needs it to protrude above the bottom edge of the keyboard sufficiently to allow for that. Most of the time, I miss it and typelikethis. A non-touch-typist might not have a problem with it (or the extra key that I discussed earlier for that matter). For myself it is a fatal flaw, as I type one-hundred-and-twenty words per minute (which explains the length of this review).As far as the "gaming" aspects of this keyboard are concerned, I do not see them, nor does the description elaborate on the topic, so I cannot rate that.For infrequent, light use or use by a non-touch-typist, I'd rate the Elixir II 4 stars. For others, I think it deserves about 2 stars, yielding 3 overall. Personally, I've gone back to my Unicomp clicky.

I dunno, i was about to purchase this keyboard knowing its 5 bucks after mail in rebate, but i had some bad experience with OCZ mail in rebate. They never mail you back the money, so ppl out there that are thinking of purchasing this, please know that you may be at least spedning 10 bucks instead of the 5 stated caz of the OCZ mail in rebate.

I just bought this keyboard cause the low price, and after i connected it to the PC, I found the space key are screwed. so disappointed...I m going to return it tomorrow for another keyborad a more expensive and better quility one. really should check it at the store after i bought it (i picked it up from Vancouver NCIX store)

I bought this because I have an aging key board and thought that his might be the answer. Certainly, the price makes this a very attractive choice.So far, no regrets about buying it.

The reason why im giving it a 3star is cause im have a really small but annoying problem... its basically that i can't press the w and 2 keys at the same time... in game, its a pain! So annoying. Its strange how every other combination works fine, A2, S2, D2, work.. but W and 2 dont...so whoever buys this keyboard, pray that you don't have key combos that dont work on it.Personally. im disappointed in this keyboard.

Great keyboard for the price...I'm just pissed, got this one today and its big brother went on sale yesterday for 5$ less ... oh well it happens, very pleased with my purchase. Keys are small and low profile, a little like a laptop keyboard but full size (except left shift key). Using it on a Mac so all they keys work except the Internet and Email key, but I don't mind that much. Overall great keyboard for the price!

judging by the pictures this keyboard looks pretty decent and is relatively cheap. I figured it would be a good temporary substitute for a more expensive keyboard, not the case. The actual construction is pretty solid, however mine was "bowed" in the middle, meaning it did not sit flat on my desk and rocks back and forth when you type. maybe mine was just a dud, however I am returning this to get a Razer keyboard.

Picked it up for $15 on sale to replace my aging grey generic PS2 keyboard. It's really great, I actually really enjoy the feel of typing on it. Great for everything I do, FPS, WoW, Starcraft, coding, browsing, whatever. Better yet, it doesn't feel like a $15 keyboard. I'm quite picky about my UI components, i.e. the kind of jerk who actually adjusts the weight in his mouse, so I was quite surprised to see this kind of quality in an inexpensive keyboard.Bottom line: Unless you are 100% happy with your current keyboard, get it.
