OCZ OCZSSD2-1AGT120G 120GB SATA 2 AGILITY SERIES SOLID STATE DRIVE RETAIL
Cons:None.
Pros:I'm running 2 VM's on this drive with amazing results. Load times are 1/5 that of running on my old 7200rpm drives. If you are planning on virtualization these sweet ssd babies are your best bet. I will NEVER buy another spinning disk again. A must own for everyone, no heat, no sound, simple perfection.I've replaced 3 spinning drives in the past year and I hope the 1.5M Hours of operation means that I should be good for a while with these drives. |

OCZ OCZSSD2-1AGT120G 120GB SATA 2 AGILITY SERIES SOLID STATE DRIVE RETAIL
Cons:Bought 3, 1 was DOA
Pros:Good price for the size, especially with rebateTested fast reads at 210Mb/sec Comment:
I bought 2 of these 120gb drives, and 1 60gb. One of the 120 size hangs the POST auto-detect, and could not be recognized on 2 different machines. The other two disks are super fast compared to my 7200 seagates. There's an amazing feeling of speedup in booting operating systems and loading big programs from the disk. Defrag operations (not that they are really needed) progress very fast. The tested (www.roadkil.net) speeds that I got were around 210Mb/s, which is pretty close to the 270Mb/s theory limit for a SATA 3gb channel. The Passmark.com DiskMark score was 1018 overall. My ASUS P7P55D-E PRO motherboard has trouble detecting these disks, but it also has problems detecting my 7200 Seagate, so I think the problem is the motherboard. |

OCZ OCZSSD2-1AGT120G 120GB SATA 2 AGILITY SERIES SOLID STATE DRIVE RETAIL
Cons:Not as fast as my 2 vertex (but still fast enough)
Pros:Great speed, good price, more room Comment:
Great product for the price. More storage than most SSD for the price. Using this for my "Games" drive and can see a noticeable difference in level load times. I would recommend this to anybody. |

OCZ OCZSSD2-1AGT120G 120GB SATA 2 AGILITY SERIES SOLID STATE DRIVE RETAIL
Cons:- Life span is a mystery right now- Warranty is short- Performance degradation over time (can be ameliorated with OCZ Garbage Removal utility)- Diminutive size- Need to deactivate indexing, defragmenting and prefetching programs- Need remove certain AHCI drivers- Need 3.5" adapter for desktop computers- Expensive
Pros:- Unbelievably fast- Eerily quiet- Doesn't use much power- Performance is uniform across the board- Performance is within 5% (real life - not specific benchmark tests) of the Vertex drive- A REAL alternative to the Intel G2 drives- OCZ utility works- Boot times and workability are insanely quick- Multitasking is on a completely different level- Several orders of magnitude higher than normal drives- Can be used in "rough" environments (no moving parts)- Fits into laptops- Already won many accolades Comment:
The performance of this drive is staggering to say the least. RAIDed 300G Velociraptors are simply outclassed and outgunned with the performance of this drive. Loading up an operating system usually results in excess wait times and opening up programs while the operating system is still loading is tedious and painful. Using this SSD changes all of that. Loading programs as the operating system is still loading is a pleasure to say the least. The whole system just feels that much faster. In fact, everything feels faster. If you're looking to get into an SSD, Intel used to be the only name in town. No longer, these new SSDs utilizing the Indilinx controller are incredible performers. I've used the Intel SSDs, and while are also excellent, are not different enough for me to fork over the extra $$. Don't forget the write performance on these drives are 2-2.5X the write performance of the Intel drives (Source: http://www.anandtech.com/storage/showdoc.aspx?i=3631&p=21).If you don't want to spend the money, but want to get into the SSD game; this drive is highly recommended.
