Great RAM
Comment:
No bad sticks here - i was worried from all the reviews i had read. The rebate website process is very good despite taking 2 months!! the rebate comes as a visa gift card and the website even scans your submitted information and provides a link on their website for you to view which is the best thing i have ever seen yet for rebates!!! |

Solid RAM, Reasonable Price
Comment:
RAM worked fine out of the of the box. Pretty solid performance, earns a Windows 7 experience index of 7.5 without any overclocking or tweaking. Currently running the RAM with 7-7-7-16 timings, which are the defaults my board assigned it. I imagine many of the people who are having problems are using Intel Chipsets. Despite the description saying the RAM is designed for Core i5 and i7, it also works just fine on AMD boards as well. The AMD based boards seem to a less finicky memory controller and don't seem to have as many problems with RAM as the Intel based boards. |

Really PC-8500
Comment:
you have to run at 1.65V to run them at 1333Mhz. the standard voltage for DDR3 is 1.5 which this will run at 1066Mhz at the voltage. So unless you are ready to much around in your bios to set the proper timings and voltages this isn't a deal. Basically this is just PC-8500 that has been tested to be able to run at 1333Mhz at 1.65v |

OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory
Cons:- Need to adjust BIOS to properly use- Received one bad stick
Pros:- Lifetime warranty- Good price Comment:
I purchased these due to the great price for my new build. With my ASUS board I needed to manually set the timings in the BIOS to get them to work properly. Things ran smoothly to start but then I started to get a ton of BSODs. Tracked down the problem to just one stick and am currently awaiting an RMA response from OCZ. |

Combo uncombined
Comment:
I got this as part of my new set, after seting all togheter the comp didnt boot. I didt some research and did some troubleshooting(3 hours)from changing seting on the bios since the mobo didnt reconised the Freq as 1333mhz to disconecting all again and putting it back together. Finally I decided to try booting the computer with one memory stick at the time, so wala the computer booted. 1 stick is good the other one is not good, I should listed to hte review before I ordered. This can be a good combo if they are hasle free from the begining. My lower rate is for the bad experience I'm having with this brand. |

Tech support problem
Comment:
One of the chips in the set was bad. Response from OCZ was fast but they want both chips in the set back before they send the replacement for the bad one. If I send them the set my computer will be out of service untill I get the new ones. Not Good!? |

Took my chances after reading the reviews and purchased this RAM - 1 worked 1 DOA. I would seriously suggest looking at other options. |

Working fine for me!
Comment:
I read the other reviews AFTER this ram was shipped, eek. Fortunately the stuff worked like a champ. Well actually the mobo recognized the RAM as 1066MHz. I manually set the freq. to 1333MHz and set the voltage to 1.64V. No boot problems and stability seems solid. I would buy again! Hope this helps! MOBO: gigabyte p55m-ud4 CPU: i7 860 |

Excellent RAM! Decent Price.
Comment:
Expensive, but all memory is. I am not sure what people are complaining about with this memory, because I inserted it into an AM3 motherboard and had no issues at all. It ran at 1333 off the start an could even handle minor overclocking. Would highly recommend OCZ. |

OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory
Cons:none so far
Pros:Low voltage 1.65v compatible with my i7 860 LGA1156 processorGood price and reputation Comment:
I bought 4 sticks (8gb) of this low voltage memory for my ASUS P7P55D-E PRO motherboard and i7 860 2.8GHz cpu, which requires no more than 1.65v on memory or it can fry the CPU. I plugged them in and the mobo picked them all up right away. I've had no problems. I bought some DDR2 memory 6 years ago for another machine, and 1 stick recently died. I filled out a web form on the OCZ site, and they responded in a couple of days with RMA details to replace it. They wanted to replace the matched pair, so I sent them the matching good one too. This tells me they honor their lifetime guarantees. This was the only problem I've had with OCZ in 10 or 12 sticks of memory over the years. I don't overclock them at all. |

I used the ram in a DP55WB mother board with the I5 750 CPU. Go to product website for settings 1.65 v on memory, qpi, uncore of 1.25 v, timings of 7,7,7,20,tRFC80. |

Works with AM3
Comment:
Installed a pair on a MSI NF750-G55 Motherboard. Blue screen during setup so I set the voltage to 1.64 and the timing to 7 7 7 20. So far I got two days of playing Mass Effect 2 in SLI out of them with no problems. Going to register them today for the lifetime warranty. |

OCZ PC3-10666 Platinum RAM
Comment:
I put this in a Biostar TP55 motherboard with an Intel i5-750. It worked right off the bat, no issues, no messing around with the BIOS, nothing, just boots up great. This is my first DDR3 motherboard, so I was impressed with the speed. The rebate made it that much better. Since I purchased it with other items, I got free shipping on top of that. Great job TD. |

False Advertising
Comment:
Edit: OCZ Support have stated there will be no issues running this board/CPU with their ram at 1.65V. I still find it disconcerting that Intel seem to think enough of the matter to place an addendum warning users in their box that damage will ensue. Original post: Designed specifically for the P55 chipset it reads. The Intel P55 chipset based motherboard (DP55KG) I just bought with this specifies 1.6V or lower. Anything over 1.6 will apparently damage both the Motherboard and Processor. Having just discovered this after sending in the rebate on the RAM as I'm still waiting on the case. :( Anybody got this running on this motherboard with an i5 750? |

Good RAM
Comment:
This ram gets hammered on this site, but mine worked okay. Just make sure you set it up with recommended 1.65 volts, approx. 7 7 7 20 recommended clocks, and dont try to OC much beyond 1333 MHz. Once you've settled on processor and ram speed settings, use memtest86 plus freeware to check the RAM. Burn the memtest86 plus software on a disc. Then boot off the memtest86 plus OIS CD and run everything through many times, overnight if you can. Ram errors will be obvious. If you get errors, return the ram. |

works fine, no problems. |
I purchased these with a barebones kit and I'm sure that these sticks with the main reason why I could not get the thing to work, even though I tested them individually in every slot on the mobo and they came back fine, I continually got BSOD after BSOD with these things. This was my first (and likely last) purchase of OCZ memory.
