+ Really quiet+ Labeled cables for extra convenience+ Works in the US and Japan with no difficulties (in my case)+ Massive fan and excellent ventilation assists preserve case cool as well+ Has many connectors to support a excellent amount of expansion - Cables a bit long for my case; unused ones are jumbled up in the five.25" bays I purchased this in mid-2009, and it has not shown any troubles. It has survived a video card upgrade (from Radeon HD 3850 to 4890) and a motherboard-CPU-RAM upgrade (from Intel Core 2 Duo to Core i5) without a hitch. It looks like it'll preserve pumping those watts for years to come as nicely.

Great overload protection. Only one six-pin and 1 8-pin pci-e connectors. Not really a con for me, I am not constructing SLI or Crossfire. Digital protection worked when MOSFETs on the motherboard fried (with fire). The power supply was automatically shut down, thus rescuing itself and the other hardware (CPU, memory, ...)

NONE I don't have something good to say about the top quality checks at OCZ. This is the second energy supply DOA that NEWEGG has sent at an expense to I hope OCZ. Even so I need to say that the representatives at NEWEGG RMA are just as efficient as the shipping department. As constantly it is a pleasure to deal with a business like NEWEGG. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are quite sorry for the challenge. The huge components in a PSU make them susceptible to shipping harm when exposed to rough handling. Your subsequent unit ought to work out fine for you, and if we can be of any help, please pay a visit to out support forums at the link below. -good price (or so i believed at the time, got it in a bundle package)-a lot of cable length (almost too considerably) BSODS occur very frequently, Incredibly picky powersupply...I plugged it in a powermeter (to see how considerably $$ it would use per day, BSOD.Plugged it into a UPS, BSOD..going to have to speak to the Manufacturer.. this is total *&$% :\ im running it as my primary PC and i cant have BSODS happeneing just about every other time i begin it up, i want my program to be secure :\sheesh.. Newegg, since when do you guys censor b.s. and c.r.a.p and J.Esus? and no i didnt have al that in one sentence.. I never turn my pc off now, seems like everytime i restart, the BSOD episodes come baclk... kinda sucks :\ Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you are getting difficulties. What would it be if the unit is DEAD. Organization tech support virtually doesn't exist. Call brings you to a non-technical person who refuses to connect you with a technician based on "company policy" all technical concerns are handled by e-mail in order received. Supervisor Brian explained me they have flood of failed items and tech support is too busy to respond. Also, I was told realistically I will get replacement in at least couple weeks. Asked if he believe it is regular, replied "it's just fine" . Properly it is not normal for me. Stay away from this product. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the issue. We believe that there has been a misunderstanding. We procedure our RMAs for replacement merchandise as quickly as achievable. In some cases a item may be out of stock, but we never intend to tell a consumer that it will be a lengthy time and that this is normal. We care about our customers and do our very best for them. If you have not already done so, please go to the link below and create a support ticket to begin the procedure. Our staff will get you effectively taken care of. Low cost, active PFC, energy effective, very quiet. Overall, extremely solid unit. Looks fairly slick, has intelligent fan/vent placement, and doesn't have goofy bright LED lights. Not modular & there are a LOT of attached connection cables. Rebate I received was for 1Ǚ of product price which is somewhat greater than usual (con because they estimate a 6-8 week "processing" time unless you pay them Ū). 4-pin connector for main motherboard connection was incredibly finicky and didn't want to latch on so immediately after producing some adjustments, just had to plug it in very first ahead of 20-pin connector - no massive deal. Whoever was claiming the unit couldn't meet a 400w output either had a defective unit or was lying. I basically bought this unit mainly because following adding a power-hungry gfx card, my 450w PSU was literally melting and shutting down (so under full load, PC was almost certainly drawing w). Considering that switching to this unit, there have been no difficulties, it operates really quietly, and has a high efficiency rating.

RMA works and got me this as a replacement. The initially version wasn't 80+ certified, this one is. No restart complications like other people are saying except for the initially time I plugged a USB device to charge my cellphone. Works the rest of the time. The problem now is that I can't shutdown!!! If I shutdown the computer it won't power on once again. The next day it may possibly come on if I play with power switch on the back or on the powerstrip it is plugged in. This has the prospective to damage other devices. I had the version 1 one and got this as a replacement. The very first one made my room smell like burn metal one day and the laptop or computer would not turn on. Had to use an old lower wattage PSU to get the computer up and running and get an RMA number. The PSU itself looks solid. The molex connector has an straightforward plunger to make it easier to eliminate.

Wonderful high quality, quiet, cool temps, still working following 6 months. Got this psu on sale for ๖ plus a totally free four gig diesel flash drive thats a pretty excellent deal. plenty of cables. some of the connectors are tough to push in but im not disconnecting and reconnecting enough for it to be any problem dont listen to everyone saying DOA its not caused by poor good quality its possibly a result of shipping or perhaps they dropped it them self's. Just send it back and get a new one.

OCZ StealthXstream II OCZ700SXS2 700W Power Supply
Cons: - Not modular- Terrible rebate experience

Pros: - Number of cables- Cable lengths- Cheap price for wattage (esp. on sale)
Comment:
When my server box's PSU died I picked up one of these in a rush to replace it. For a sale price of around $45, this is a great deal. Unfortunately to get that price you have to go through a rebate with OCZ, which I found to be more trouble than it was worth (delays, denial of received documentation, rebate comes as CC not cheque, etc).As for the PSU itself, there are more than enough cables, and the length is excellent if you have a large tower. It would have been great if it were modular, but when getting a $45 PSU, I suppose you shouldn't be unrealistic!Overall, a good purchase (even considering the rebate issues).

Cons: OCZ rebates suck

Pros: Works as AdvertisedGreat Price
Comment:
This is a great power supply. The fan is quiet and it supplies more than enough juice for nearly any PC. My only complaint is the OCZ rebate. OCZ is really trying hard to make sure you don't claim their rebates. They don't even send you a check, instead you get a prepaid mastercard.

Pros: Good selection of cablesgood cable length
Comment:
Bought this to upgrade a stock 350w psu in an hp pavillion. My old psu required a bunch of 'utility to sata' power adapters and was getting quite messy. The psu has nice cable wrapping and allowed me to attach 5 hard drives and a dvd burner without adapters. 2 PCI-e power outlets and 2 cpu outlets is a plus. The cables were long enough to allow me to do cable channeling through the back of an Azza Solano case, except for the cpu cable which needed to go across the mb. (the Solano has the psu on the bottom vs the top)

Cons: Didn't ship with the nice little pouch that the ModXStream comes with.

Pros: Very strong PSU. Looks pretty good and is quiet as well.

There aren't many things to not like about this PSU. It is as advertised and worked great for me. If you're like me and do an occasional overclock for certain activities, you'll like the peace of mind knowing that your PSU can handle the load. I've recommended this to many already and their happy too.

Cons: none that i know

Pros: Good Price with mail in rebateNot too loudTons of connections
Comment:
Great little box for the price, worth getting with the mail in rebate. Altough I didnt find it to be super silent, it seems to have a smaller fan and does not make too much noise. It has tons of Sata connectors, 8 pin ATX and all the goodies you would want from a high output PSU, at a low price, which makes me worried about the durability, but that is to be determined.

Cons: I hear about other people having reliability issues, but i can't speak to that

Pros: Lots of Power, Good Quality, Nice Cable Management
Comment:
No complaints, was overall pleased with the experience (nice box, nice mesh on the cables, big fan, lightweight, lots of power. Can't complain. Got it for a rediculous deal though (about 40$), so I hope it lasts. Only other problem I had was figuring out what to do with the 4,394 extra cables coming out of it. But I guess that's my fault for buying 10X more PSU than i need. Would be another great feature if you have a million peripherals though i guess.Would recommend to buy for sure!

Cons: Buzzing noise under load since day one.

Pros: Very cheap to buy for a 700W power supply
Comment:
I bought this thinking this was a good deal when it went on sale but ever since I build my new PC with it, it's been doing a "buzzing" or a kind of electrical noise. It's louder when I play games or do demanding stuff. I never bought OCZ before because of many posts I saw on the forum all these years but it'll probably be the last time...

OCZ StealthXstream II OCZ700SXS2 700W Power Supply
Cons: Had two units of this particular model die on me in one week (I have at least 4 OCZ, Coolermaster PS in several systems all overclocked). Basically said you have to have receipts etc to replace but over 3 years you are toast. Yeah right I keep receipts for 3 years.

Pros: last approx 2-3 years.
Comment:
Average PS - get ready to replace in about 2-3 years particularly if you are an avid overclocker like me. OCZ replaced one for me at no charge with the MODxstream version which I heard is better - not holding my breath. Have since moved on to Corsair and Siverstone brand - Has a cooler master TR unit for more than 3 years no no issues. I have too many of these things need to get a life.
