These just plain work. I personal 8 of these and have never had a challenge. The clips assist them remain in place on both the HDD and mobo. The only place they didnt clip on was my SSD but its nonetheless a excellent conection. The cables are fairly flexable as nicely so u can bend them to get them had been you want them to go. none |

Backwards compatible, affordable. 10" isn't considerably to perform with, particularly with side mounted hard drives, but it'll do. Great factor my new mobo has sata ports on the side closest to the mobo, otherwise it's a fairly tight fit on my old boards ports to the HDDs. |

-Latch truly operates-Great good quality-Low-cost none Most SATA cables are flimsy and fall out extremely quickly. These are well built and the latch works very well. So well, in fact, that if you want to unplug one particular of these cables, you can't just yank on it, you'll actually will need to release the latch. Whilst you might get cost-free SATA cables with your challenging drives or your motherboard, it's surely worth the Ū to pick up some of these. Be positive to purchase whatever length you want, and put a tiny time in to thinking about how your parts will be laid out in your situation, and pick up cables with the right ends (straight or angled). All of the cables in this line are good, I have both straight-to-straight and straight-to-angled cables. |

This is a nicely produced SATA II cable with locking clips to keep the cable ends from operating loose in the course of handling of the Computer. No technical cons. Incremental shipping charges for this cable are high (nearly 100% of the expense of the cable). Properly I am paying practically double the posted price of this item. I very advocate SATA II cables more than SATA due to the fact of troubles I have had in the past with SATA working loose. The locking clips help a wonderful deal. When removing these cables from a motherboard or device, you want to be patient and use a tool to unlock the clip. These days, I have ordered these cables and I noticed some thing odd. I have a massive multiple item order in the purchasing card. For every single cable, shipping was ũ.83 a cable – for typical three day ground delivery. Seems to me the NewEgg shopping cart really should be in a position to give a a lot more precise assessment of shipping charges for the whole order – in particular the assessment of the shipping charges for these cables which I feel is excessive. |

If you're ordering OEM drives, this is for you- nice low cost, gets the job done. At initially impression, appear a tiny short. They in all probability won't serve you well if you happen to have SATA connections near the back of your computer. Keep in mind a lot of motherboards come with a SATA cable or two. Don't spend income on excessive SATA cables if you don't want them! Make confident to check whats integrated with your motherboard. |

I got 6 of these to aid cut down on the cable clutter in an already stuffed case. They do that job perfectly. As seen in the photos, they also have the locking clip so they don't perform themselves loose from a SATA connector. The 'grips' are a small thick for the stacked connectors on my DFI LP LT X38-T2R board so they bend a little bit. Also, the locking clips don't operate at all on those same connectors (though the drive-side functions great!). Most of the blame need to be on DFI for the spacing and top quality of the connectors on the board, though. Beyond that, it's a SATA cable... It does its job and doesn't get in the way. |

The clamps and overall cable composition had been very nice at initial appear. Stopped working just brief of two months of use. Efficiency seems beneath that of other cables I have. I bought this cable to go with an OEM Seagate 7200.11 drive. Nowadays my method hung up for the first time ever since I built it a year ago. I restarted and had no complications for about 4 hours then my system hung again. On restart the method wouldn't go past Difficult Drive Initialization, I know this since my mother board has a two digit read out code to let you know what the system is doing. (Ram Check, Tough Drive Initialization, Video Error, etc...) So my initial thought was the newer drive I unplugged it and method began fine. I shut down once more reconnected drive and again method would not start out. I have by no means ever had a Seagate drive fail on me in 10 years of being a loyal client, so my 1st suspect was the SATA cable. I unhooked the cable and took the cable from my second DVD drive connected that to the tough drive and almost everything boots flawlessly. Right after performing a scandisk, I noticed the drive seemed noticably faster, and a benchmark after that confirmed it to be so. |

Newegg's good support, they gave me a second one for no cost to replace the faulty and didn't even have to send back the old cable. Like their service! Once more just a little over one particular month of use and the cable has stopped working. At this point I'm just frustrated with it, two cables similar problem inside a reasonably short period of time of use have failed for me. I've tried moving the cable to distinct drives and SATA ports regardless no matter what is connected to this cable will not perform, all my other cables function in any way they are connected. OKGEAR doesn't appear to make an even "OK" product. Save your self the hastle and obtain a greater cable... Last time I gave it a 2 mainly because it seemed to operate and I realize QC can't catch every little thing but two negative cables that lasted a total of about three months together gets this item a 1. |

Best LengthBlackSufficiently BendyPrice Clips are basically type of pain and I would rather just have a cord that fit snugly. To be honest, I've in no way met a cord/connector with a clip that I liked. They're commonly entirely unnecessary (not a entire lot of vibration or tension in your average application - at least I don't know everyone who suspends their drives by their connecting cables) and basically make it more uncomfortable and stressful to plug/unplug your devices. Make certain 10" is sufficient, my HDD bays are essentially 2" away from the connectors on my MoBo and I wouldn't suggest anything less than 10" when working with an un-angled cable. |

These cables are great for challenging drives due to their length. It reduces cable clutter in the case and the signal doesn't have as far to go (remember, the longer your cables and the more loops you have in them produces more EMI interference). It has the retaining clips. There is also a appropriate angle version on Newegg that I would recommmend also. The wire itself is a little stiff, but I guess that's from all the sheilding? The 18" and 24" are ok for optical drives that are typically at the top of the case, but these work good for harddrives that are typically closer to the bottom next to the MB header. |

Low-cost, do the job, keep the computer system clean with excellent airflow; replaced 18" folded cables. Ordered 8, paid and get 5(stock concerns), 1 arrived without a latch(manufacturing problem), UPS was late two workdays and more than the weekend(Monday instead of Thursday); shipment box was damaged, with content unharmed; for that price I'm not creating an RMA, considering that the the shipping would price more then the defective cable. If you order, be positive to order spare(s), mainly because you by no means know, when poor luck will hit you. |

InexpensiveSATA 6Gb/s IIBought a couple extras in case 1 didn't perform. Bought 9, have been employing 7 with no complications for over a year. I honestly haven't had any issues with drives not being recognized, or the cable coming loose adequate to disconnect a drive, even though I sort of expected to. All operating fine. Detached and reattached a handful of occasions with no troubles.Locking latch functions. None, I guess. ten" consists of the connectors themselves. In other words, the cable is about 8"I wanted short cables to lessen the quantity of additional cable in my case. No issues with the length in my scenario.Maybe if they had been color it would make them simpler to spot and follow exactly where they come from and exactly where they go. (I sometimes disconnect and will need to reconnect up to 9 SATA drives) |

Functions fine. I wish the cable was thinner and more flexible. As it is it's fairly tough to perform with. This is expecially important for shorter cables, as you usualy use them when you have a restricted space to start with... |
Newegg was sort sufficient to reimburse me for the delivery shipping. Connectors detach from the drives with no mechanical force. Cable length considerably shorter than advertised. Plastic insulating coating on cables was cracked on 6Ǟ cables ordered. My 1st evaluation try was rejected due to its frank expression of my distaste for the excellent of the product.
