Transfers information from SATA devices. Is backwards compatible with SATAI. A bit longer than I expected, but my mobo is at the best of my case because my PSU is at the bottom. If I would have pulled out the tape measure and string I could have figured out how lengthy I needed this to be. It's not overly lengthy, it's just a small more than I require.

Metal clips sound like a great thing.... In practice, the metal clips make the connectors too thick. The metal clip broke off a little piece of plastic on 1 of my raptor drives.I also noticed that upon plugging it in to my P6T6 mobo, the plastic casing for the SATA ports bulged out due to the fact of the extra height introduced by the metal clip.Needless to say, I won't be employing these cables. Going back to the clip-less ones included with the mobo.

-Lengthy-metal clips are good-comes out easier than some SATA cables-90 bend in the suitable direction for me -none I believed this would be pletty extended for a full tower case (mobo to optical drive cable), but it's close.Funny thing is that these cables can do 3gb's a second and are fairly inexpensive, though HDMI cables that in all probability don't do that a lot expense upwards of 100$ just funny.

It's a cable, it does what it's supposed to. It wasn't free. I got it with free of charge shipping, so it was worth it, IMO. If you're not going to get cost-free or reduced shipping, it would in all probability be less costly to just get 1 from a nearby pc repair shop, but not one of the huge box shops or Ratshak as they will generally more than charge you.

Really tight connectionPasses data as necessaryBlack instead of annoying off-red Connection is too tight, particularly for close-set sockets I can't fault them for working so properly, it just doesn't function nicely with my board (Asus P5Q Pro Turbo). The SATA sockets are two-deep, next to each other, and the orientation of the plugs call for that the locking clips directly face each other. For that reason unlocking needs a flathead screwdriver inserted among them to offer pressure. But that's my issue, not theirs!

Nice cables. Function. Proper angle end makes it less complicated to install on hard drives. None Running three HDD in a CM690 case. Uncomplicated to manage cables with right angle end as compared to straight end cables.

Excellent 24" SATA II cable. Black connectors and cable. Cable is flat. Locking clips on both ends. Cable comes in clear plastic, some other companies use anti-static bags. Not that it's really needed. just blaze!

Plugged in with new drive install. It worked. Concerned since of review complaining about metal clips, but they worked OK. Knew the plug was in all the way when they clicked. No complications Measure cautiously and get a slightly longer cable. I got lucky and mine just barely fit.

Fantastic cable for a decent cost. It has low profile connectors, which is just what I needed. It was the best length/fit for my Dell Dimension 5150. The metal latch (at least for me :) I know a bunch of folks love the metal latch, but I found it to be a small difficult to unplug from the SATA port on my motherboard. There isn't a lot room, and it proved to be a small bit challenging. I didn't want to rip the port off the motherboard or break the latch off the cable. My fingers were sore for most of the afternoon following switching it from 1 port to the other...

One of two ordered worked. 1 of two ordered worked. I'm certain you have an notion of how frustrating the procedure can be to isolate which hardware component is the issue when adding 2 HDD's (RAID 1). 1 cable was killing boot process. Had to go out and obtain one for 4x newegg cost at neighborhood shop. Newegg is replacing other, and would have had to wait another week-ish for replacement before mirroring HDD.

The cables are flexible and keep their position properly following you run them. One of the clips stuck in the sata port, but pushing on the latch and wiggling a bit allowed it to come out okay. We have a bill of rights, but what we will need is a bill of responsibilities.

*Black color is aesthetically superior as compared to standard SATA Cables.ႀ" Length gives you some more room when you have PCI cards to go about or just a long way to go from SATA to device.*Locking tabs keep the ends in location saving you timeჂ degree head makes this take up nearly no room behind your device. *No ShieldingჂ degree head can be a issue if you are connecting to an array of similarly constructed HDDs in close proximity to 1 one more*No SATA III support *If you have a RAID and the disks are in close proximity, the 90 degree head will send the cable straight down from the connector. On all but the bottom drive in the array you will have to place an additional connector in extremely close proximity to the previous 1 (and if the drives are identical the location will be in specifically the exact same spot thus producing the difficulty). As a cable with no shielding this is not an optimal setup. Bending the cable will assist but will place unneeded strain on your SATA connection. The cost is correct. If you are looking for the finest cable on the marketplace this is not it. If you are searching for a top quality cable that is longer than the regular 20" black connector, red bodied internal pc snake; appear no further.I am docking this item 1 egg for the lack of shielding. With information transfers acquiring quicker, RAIDs becoming commonplace, and data-volumes reaching new highs, the cables that manage this information must be stepping it up as well. Shielding is a mus
