Does specifically what it is develop to do. E-Sata is significantly quicker than USB and you actually don't want a lot more than a three or 4 foot cable for an sometimes applied external HDD. None at all. None, if you can come across what you need for less expensive, then get that! Oh, and I was tired of boring grey and black cables...so I bought a bright red cable to spice items up! |

lengthy and the connecter it excellent Big CON, the cable didnt work. I tried for 3 days to get the new external harddrive. I was about to return it, but i decided i would give it one particular far more likelihood with another esata cable I had. AND IT WORKED. SO for whatever cause with this esata cable it just didnt want to perform, but Intel storage controller matrix would see that something was trying to be plugged in but wouldnt connect. perhaps the a single i got was the negative one particular out of the bunch? |

This eSata cable works quite well. It has a decent fit and the cable is round and flexible not quickly dislodging when you move your enclosure or dock about. The only purpose I gave it a 4 star is that it would be nice if the cable would really snap on but none exists that I have seen, so it is the very best cable so far. I have been disappointed with eSata ports and cables. I I don't realize why the designer of eSata would make a port that doesn't have a great fit like USB. Generally, it has a extremely loose fit causing stiff flat cables, to dislodge incredibly effortlessly if you move your enclosure or dock about. Component of the difficulty is that it lacks depth, so that it will not fit nicely. I have applied about four diverse cables hunting for a cable that would fit and this OKgear cable, so far is the greatest however. It works consistently so far. I've even had the flat stiff cables not function, which is the common cable you get. Other cables did not have a appropriate fit, requiring trimming. This move away from good fitting ports is disappointing. I will gladly embrace USB3 as time goes on due to a much better sort of port and plug. I will not miss eSata due to all the trouble with its ports and cables but for now it is a much better answer than USB2. |

It works. N/A It fits tightly in drives exactly where other cables didn't. |
operates just like it says. Utilizing it on a "Fantom Drives G-Force 2TB USB 2. / eSATA External Challenging Drive" and getting more than 100MBps on the transfer prices shipping costs a lot more than the cable... but nevertheless less costly than going to the retailer and finding robbed.
