This is a good adapter for the connectivity kits for flashing a xbox 360 drive. Works with no dilemma and plugs into the wall so your not working with the cpu power. Could be a tiny longer but is a decent If you buy a connectivity kit get this as well you wont regret it.

Does what it's supposed to do. I have not pushed it...but it does what I've asked so far. It has powered an old 10gb HD. I now use it to power an 80 mm and an 120 mm fan (at same time). None As captain of the swim team I helped put with each other a speaker set up in the swim group locker space this year at my higher school and our amp squeezes in a locker and gets as well hot so I purchased this to power to personal computer fans which I strapped to the amp to get it some air, now it's all fantastic, thanks newegg!

I had yet another unit like this that came with a USB to SATA/PATA adaptor. The energy supply that came with that triggered a hissing noise on my desktop speakers when plugged in to any set of drive interface to external bus adaptor (SATA<->USB, SATA<-򗭐b, and so on). I purchased this hopping to eliminate that noise. Luckily, it did! This is clearly a larger good quality energy supply than some of the other generic, low cost, power supplies. Thanks! none so far I haven't had this for extended so I can't speak to its longevity but I'm glad I no longer have to pick among working with my speakers and external drives.

I use it to power my CK3 Pro kit for flashing Xbox's.It beats utilizing the internal energy by a significant amount and it powers the kit like its meant to. none. Powers my Pc lights for some reason. But its not a huge deal.

InexpensiveDoes precisely what it's suppose toEffectively producedGreen power on light None that you didn't know about (see below) I purchased this adapter for a demonstration exactly where I required a energy supply for some laptop or computer fans. I'm always messing with fans and hard drives...this is great for testing without having the require for a MB and PS. Didn't know this existed and have discovered a number of uses for it..its like a necessity now. An on-off switch in the 12V energy provide line would be nice so you don't have to maintain plugging and unplugging, but its the only nit I could think of. Good quality unit, every single UL, CE, and so on. approval out there.

Does exactly what it ought to. I use it to test fans/lights prior to attaching them to my mobo. Indicator light to show it's correctly working. The connector (for connecting the 120VAC to the transformer box) was fairly tough to fit in. I truly had to push it in, but soon after a couple of time, it had loosened up adequate. But this was a really straightforward issue to fix.

Works excellent so far powering two little (probably) 25mm Sunon fans (I got them cost-free so I don't know for certain) daisy-chained together with a 120mm Rosewill fan on the end. Have to unplug the power-brick just about every time I want to power down the fans. Not a big deal, but it would be nice if it had a switch/button/something. Might just get a Molex fan controller. The 2x 25mm Sunon fans are mounted in a homemade (cardboard and black electrical tape) wind-tunnel mounted to the back of my PS3 to aid push the hot air out. I'm glad the PS3 doesn't break nearly as generally as 360s, but a small extra cooling by no means hurt. The 120mm Rosewill fan is going onto an equally homemade wind-tunnel for my old HP dv8210us laptop to support push its hot air out.
