Olympus Evolt E30 Digital SLR Camera 12.3MP 2.7IN LCD Truepic III+ Image Stabilization Body Only
Cons:-too easy to be recognized by Bluetooth devices that could be near by-sound (built in woofer) distorts at high volume levels-imperfections in sound are made clear low quality sound sources can be an issue(due to speaker sound accuracy)-control pod requires recharging for Bluetooth and remote control use, will not get over a year of battery life like a regular remote

Pros:-great sound quality via optical-nice balance of bass in an all in one system-control pod is rechargeable means no battery to replace (bad if battery goes bad, doesn't seem replaceable)-control pod's rubber base sticks nicely to glass surfaces-very detailed sound all around, detailed lows, mids and highs-rather good volume levels-unique look-easily recognized by Bluetooth devices-can connect a separate subwoofer for louder bass-includes a wide range of cables... optical, RCA, 1/8 aux jack to name a few.
Comment:
Love the sound quality of this system, it is certainly loud enough to fill a good sized room in a house but not likely loud enough to annoy the neighbours much. Via optical there is no hiss, just clean sound that is ready to go when the sound starts. Tried Aux for a minute also sounds good and clean sound wise (optical is best quality though). The volume levels are consistent to that of a quality sound system meaning you won't have to keep turning the volume up and down.A minor concern: It could be too easy for someone near by to start playing music/sounds on your device if they wanted to be a pain. I do not know a way to turn off the Bluetooth connection other than to let the volume pod die or remove it from range of speakers. All in all a great system, I have no intention of using the Bluetooth feature as I am interested purely in sound quality via optical and bluetooth streaming is certainly lower quality just by connection type and lack of bandwidth. The bass in these 18" tall speakers was loud enough to make my mouse cursor jump around the screen; impressive for an all in one system. The worst part about this system in general use relates to the sound quality. Low quality sound and imperfections are heard clearly.NOTE: All spinnaker units sold at this time should be revision 2 that replaced the faulty first revision. I called Edifier tech support in the USA to get this information. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-25-13 11:37 PM
