Recently upgraded my old Dual core desktop to to an i7 system. My speed increases seemed marginal over the old system. My main complaint is the long scan times with my anti-virus. My old dual core took 4 hours 20 mins for the scan. New i7 took under 3 hours. Not bad, But wanted less time. After doing lots of study decided on this drive. Now a virus scan takes 23 mins. it takes about 25 seconds for my Windows to boot up. Makes no sense to build a great computer system and have standard hard drive drag it down. Standard hard drives are great for downloads and backups. Did i mention this drive has a 10 year warranty?
