The product is good but my gripe is that I ordered it as a Christmas gift the first week of December and never received the product due to it being lost in shipment. Was refunded my money and bought it somewhere else for $20 less and free shipping.

This company has the WORST customer service I have ever seen. There is no live customer support unless you pay $29.99 responses to e-mailed support questions take over 12-36 hours to get back to you. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!

This product is easy to use. Just plug it in, hook it up to your computer, done. Software is great.

For an external Drive, I can't ask for more. Fast, (relatively) quiet, simple to set up. I haven't really used the software it comes with, but the drive itself is great. Update - I am even more impressed - I am using it to rip DVDs for my library. My kids have a number of scratched disks that I could not rip (or even play) with my other DVD Drives/Players. It takes a long time (5 hours for a badly scratched disk) but so far it has handled everything I have thrown at it.

Nothing but good things to say about this unit. You have to upgrad the software that comes with it to get 7.1 sound but it's worth it. I'll notice ever once in awhile a pause in playback but overall a super buy.
