PNY GeForce GTX 980 XLR8 1216MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 DVI HDMI 3x DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card
Cons:Gets warm while playing ! maybe an issue on hot summer days, works fine in January. Doesn't get too warm, but a lot warmer than my old card! Worry it may get clogged up with lint! and will have to disassemble to clean the lint out.
Pros:Uses very little power! Very fast on BF4 and Win8! Tried it on my Win 7 Setup ! Works great ! Comment:
Love the appearance of the lights on the card! Setup was easy, replaced my old card effortlessly! Setup was a breeze! I run an Intel I3 3.3 GHZ and it runs BF4 effortlessly.Love this card ! |
Excellent performing card. I have this running in an SLI setup with a reference Asus GTX 980. What I like about the PNY version is that it runs at a lower overall voltage when compared at equivalent frequencies to a reference card, so it's definitely cooler. The factory overclock on this card isn't just a voltage bump to achieve the core clock increase, it seems it was binned specially to run more efficiently. However! Check your heatsinks. The first card I picked up had one missing screw, I sent a photo to PNY and they advised I exchange it for a whole new one which I did.
