i bought the pny flash as i was in process of setting up a new computer and it was quick for transfering photos, and data.

I have to tell the story because it says a lot about the quality of this USB flash drive. I have had mine for close to a year and it has worked flawlessly. The other day I left it in my pant's pockets and my wife put it through the washer and heated dryer. I did not have anything in it that I would not have somewhere else in a backup, so I was not freaking out and I thought that was it for the drive. However a few days later I plugged it in my laptop and it worked as before, all data there, nothing lost. I have been using it now for a month after the 'accident'. I would not hesitate buying one of these.

I bought one of these last night and it works good in GNU/Linux as I expected it would. I wanted to use it for larger files but it was formatted in FAT32 like almost all storage devices are. So I had to format it for NTFS from within Linux because Windows XP would only format removable drives in FAT32.

Of the many flash drives I've tried, this is the worst. It's become useless in a very short time due to error after error when transferring data. I cannot recommend this device.

I've carried this thing around in my pocket every day and used it a lot for about 7 months. I work in lawn & landscaping so it go's through a ruff time. It works perfect! But, as one reviewer has pointed out, you have to be easy with it pluging it in and taking it out of tight fitting slots. Mine after all this time broke where the plastic holding the circuit board and plug conects. It still works though, and going to try gluing it haha

Piece of junk. I have had to superglue this thing back together 3 times. If you plug it into a ''tight fitting '' USB port, the plastic holding the actual circuit board and USB adapter breaks free from the case. True POS!

I am not sure when I got this drive but it was Nov I think. On or around January 7 08 I lost this drive I looked for months trying to find out where I lost it. On May 3 I found it. I located it in the washing machine. It had to have been there for at least 3 months I let it dry and examed it and the electronics part broke free of the housing but it still worked and I had not lost any of the data that was on the drive before it was washed most likly close to 100 times its a house hole with 3 kids and 2 Adults. I am still using this drive today. All I can say about my Drive is WOW

It's A great drive .But it comes formated to RAW if you are going to use it for Ready Boost youhave to first format it to NTFS format. Than it works great.

This thing is a piece of crap!The only thing it has going for it is the price for an 8 GB drive.However,since all it does is either lock up my XP Pro OS or just plain does nothing at all,it is really pretty much useless.I have found that it DOES float and makes a great bobber in fast moving water!!!

This drive had a decent price for an 8GB device. It's not a great drive, but it's not a bad one either. It does it's job, to transfer data from point a to point b. I may have a defective one as it takes a couple of tries to get my computer to detect it. As I use multiple brands/types of USB drives, I know that the issue is related to the drive. Other then that, I am happy with it.

I liked the fact that it was 8gb so that I could take it overseas with me. HOWEVER, I was very disappointed that it broke within two months. The plastic is weak where the metal USB bit connects with the light blue plastic. I was not in a country that I could easily replace this, so the 8GBs did nothing because the product broke.

Defective, slow and doubles the size of other 8gb flash memories. Besides that, the customer service of PNY is dreadful!!. To get the warranty I had to pay shipping costs, custom fees (I live abroad). I ended up paying us$170 for the device

Bought an 8GB for the capacity and I am pleased with price and performance.

Works great and is pretty cheap for an 8GB drive. Using now for several months and no problems at all. Carry in my pocket every day.
