POWERCOLOR Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) AX5770 1GBD5-MDH Video Card
Cons:- no 5700 series drivers on ATI website as of Nov, '09
Pros:- quiet- works with 400/450W psu- DX11- fairly compact compared to new cards, will fit in micro case probably. Comment:
I was a little worried to get a Powercolor card, but so far very impressed. It is actually very quiet. I cannot even tell the difference between idle and load. But I know the fan is doing its job because I haven't seen temps higher than 65C.I was surprised that ATI website doesn't have 57xx series drivers yet.Had to use the ones that come on CD (dated Oct '09).Games run awesome at 1680x1050 resolution. All max details, 4xAA. |
Good bang for your buck if you're looking for a DirectX 11 card, considering the severe lack of 5800-series cards to be found. Performance around a 4870 so it won't really blow you away. If you want power and don't care about DX11, go for a 4890.
