Not the best I've ever purchased
Comment:
My wireless mouse didn't work in this. Everything else I've tried in it worked with just the one cord plugged in (flash drives, external hard drives, printers). If you just need something to plug basic usb items into, this will do fine. If you have wireless equipment, forget it. Spend the extra $5 or $10 and get a nicer one.

Good but not Great
Comment:
Will not work with my wireless (Microsoft) mouse and keyboard. (With or without the additional power to the hub.) Everything else - external Hard Drives and flash Drives work fine. Money well spent. This little unit looks good and works good.

Simple and Solid
Comment:
I needed a USB hub closer to my reach. This little jewel was perfect. It's small, but solid. Because of its light weight design I mounted it with double-stick tape, which eliminates holding it while plugging and unplugging devices. I use the rear slots for devices I always leave plugged in, and the front for those frequently removed devices. Hook-up was a snap. Just unpack and plug in. I used a 6' extension cable since my computer sits underneath my desk. I'm using four ports without the added power adapter. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

PPA 7-Port USB 2.0 Hub
Comment:
Simple, very compact, easy to set up (just plug it in!) Can't beat the price for a 7-Port USB 2.0 hub. Can be used unpowered with a single cable, or plug in the optional 2nd cable (power only, no data) to a 2nd USB port on your computer to supply extra power to the hub for devices that require it. Give up two ports to get 7 with ample power? Not a bad trade! Small enough to consider packing it along with my laptop, but powerful enough to be usefull with my desktop as well. It gets a little warm with extended use, but what small, high-powered toy doesn't these days?

PPA 7-Port USB 2.0 Hub
Comment:
For the price, this hub is very cheap. The usb power cable is a bad idea because it uses another usb space of the computer so to connect this hub you will need 2 open usb plugs on your computer.

PPA 7-Port USB 2.0 Hub
Comment:
No instructions came with it at all, and there was a very strange cable included. Tigerdirect helped me get it running and it works fine. Here's the answer from PPA regarding the mystery cable: I recently purchased your 7 port usb 2.0 non-power hub from Tigerdirect. In it were two cables; what is the Black cable? What is it for? Thanks The black cable is a optional PS/2 - USB 5 volt power adapter. This cable will supply additional power to the hub. You can connect either the PS/2 keyboard connection or connect the USB plug to supply and additional 5 volts to the hub. The hub is bus powered so most USB devices will not required the use of the cable but if you attach a device that is not recognized correctly you can connect the adapter to correct the problem. Thank you, PPA Inc. I would recommend this product to anyone.
