Patriot 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory
Comment:
Economical. But that is about all I can say positively about this RAM. Bought three sticks, and already had two go poor. This is ranked memory so most memory controllers on a common desktop will not like a lot more than 2 sticks of "ranked" memory. I've by no means had memory give me any issues until I purchased this garbage. Extremely dissatisfied.Keep away from this manufacturer all together. I've already wasted 60 bucks. I knew I need to have stayed with Kingston or Corsair.I'd rather cut my losses and have to deal with Patriot to get it replaced, because I know a refund would be out of the question. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,It is really rare for 2 out of three sticks to be dead on arrival. If a refund is what you are looking for I would advise you to contact Newegg (or the manufacturer). Otherwise I would advise contacting support@patriotmem.com to initiate your rma.Thank You for deciding upon Patriot Memory.Regards,Patriot Memory Support Team

Comment:
this memory (RAM)is a really superior deal and works good! my dell dimension by no means ran greater now that it has two gb of this in it none! as with any pc, you want to realize that bumping your ram up is gonna increase heat, its a excellent thought to obtain heat sinks for these as properly

Patriot 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory
Comment:
Plug and play. Simple to install. Personal computer BIOS recognized it immediately. I am running Windows XP with AVG Anti Virus and very little extra running in the background. I used to have 512MB 鵀x2), and the computer was slow as molasses with endless hard disk crunching. I took out the two sticks of 256 and put in the 1 stick of 1GB, and WHAT A Difference! For much less than 40 bucks, it is like I have a new laptop or computer! I waited way too long to do this. Be positive to get DDR, not DDR2. DDR2 is less costly but will not work in a machine that requirements DDR.

Patriot 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory
Cons: none

Pros: Good price, easy to use, packaging
Comment:
Most ram with this spec is about $50. With the current promo, this ram is a hot deal for people who need extra ram in their older system. Comes with a sturdy packaging and a brand name to back it up.

Patriot 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory
Cons:Haven't found one yet

Pros:Price and availability
Comment:
I installed this memory today and it brought my old dell back to life, start-up times and load times on games have improved drastically. The specs on the memory were exactly as stated. I added 2gb to a system that had 1gb and was very happy to receive such a jump in performance, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this ram to anyone.

Works Perfectly with an older ASUS Motherboard.., being a P4B-266-LA (Danube).., in an HP Pavilion 750n.., P4-1.6GHz processor. This motherboard was NOT listed on the PATRIOT 'Compatibility' webpage.., so I took a chance.., and it paid-off beautifully.

Patriot 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory
Cons:None

Pros:Works good on two of my boards
Comment:
Have tried these in a couple of boards and they seem to have no problems. A Soyo and Intel board. Haven't had problems with any other Patriot product so can't say anything bad about them. You will always find incompatibility problems with any brand you buy it is just a matter of time. But not for me so far!

Patriot 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory
Cons:Nothing so far

Pros:Good price (if you get it on sale)
Comment:
I grabbed two of these during the latest sale... I had to upgrade anyway and the price was excellent. I had some memory crashes within the first couple of days, but then switched slots (quirky motherboard I guess) and everything has been running perfectly stable since then. Would definitely recommend these sticks.

Patriot 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory
Cons:Only one is that they dropped the price since I bought it. :)

Pros:Just good basic memory that dropped right in and also was compatible with another stick from corsair. This has breathed a little more life into my older (Prescott) system which runs great, but isn't quite up for some of today's more resource intensive games. So far no issues and not expecting any as Patriot makes reliable memory, and I was more interested in that than speed. If speed was the primary motivation I'd be building a new system.
Comment:
Good basic memory to extend the life of an older system that's only real fault is it can't keep up with the newest games. sixty bucks to extend the usefulness of my PC was money well spent. Can't take advantage of better pricing on DDR2/3 memory without spending hundreds in upgrading MB, Processor, & Video card.
