Patriot 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Memory
Cons:DDR2 is getting old.
Pros:Cheap. Good performance. Behaves well. Comment:
I was looking for 4GB of RAM at a good price, so DDR2 was the way to go for me. Picked this up from NCIX.com because the price was right and the specs were good. It's working perfectly for what I needed, though I'm running a 32-bit OS so I'm not enjoying as much RAM as I could be.Solid performer for the price. |

Patriot 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Memory
Cons:timing on ram is slower than most top of the line timings
Pros:Patriot Extreme heat shielding dissaptes much of the extra heat generated by a 2 gb stick Comment:
for the price this is a phenominal deal. It should work in most highend motherboards. I found that my xfx 680i lt sli motherboard could run it and I would imagine that most others can as well.Again for the price you cant really go wrong |

Patriot 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Memory
Cons:- Doesn't overclock- Below average timings- Much more expensive than 4 x 1gb- Only 3gb used in 32 bits
Pros:+ One of the cheapest 4gb kit+ Keeps cool+ vista really take advantage of more ram Comment:
I regret buying this kit wqhen I see how the prices of the 2 x 1gb kit has dropped. Unless you need 8gb, I would go for 4 x 1gb isntead it is much less expensive and will overclock better with better timings. |

Patriot 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Memory
Cons:Timings and headroom
Pros:Price and capacity Comment:
Got this kit as it was the cheapest 2x2gb available. Package says 2.0v but it ran fine with 1.8v. Tried to overclock the things a little but there wasn't much headroom over 800mhz, even with slacker timings or more voltage. For the price, it does what it's supposed to do. |

Patriot 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Memory
Cons:Doesn't really overclock, but was able to get it up 850MHz loosening the timings.Took over 4 months to get my rebate.
Pros:Lowest price for 2x2GB at the timeOnly need to run voltage at 1.85V Comment:
The voltage is rated at 2.0V on package, but default setting is 1.85V. I have been able to run them at 1.80V without any problems so far. They run efficiently enough on my Q6600. I score 5.6 on the Vista memory performance, but when overclocking I can get it to 5.7 at most. This review was modfied by poster @ 11-10-07 10:14 PM |
Great ram, stays solid and I can overclock it and it won't die on me. The only bad thing is the high voltage. Overall would buy again.
