Bought it when it was $39.99.On my motherboard (ASUS P8Z77-V PRO), I had to first install them in single channel mode, go to BIOS, then select an XMP profile. Turn off the computer, switch it to dual channel mode, then the computer will POST in dual channel mode. Otherwise it would fail to boot. Other than that it works very well, haven't tried overclocking or undervolting yet. |

Cons:-PLASTIC Heat Sink-1 module was completely defective, caused computer to not POST-Other module had many bad addresses when tested using Memtest86+ v4.2
Pros:-Inexpensive (~$30 on sale and after $10 MIR)-Potentially good performance, but I won't know until replacements arrive (which I guess makes the lifetime warranty a big PRO) Comment:
This is my first NCIX review.Biggest reason I am giving a poor review: FAKE HEAT SINKS. Why even put them on there? Just for esthetics? I would think that the plastic heat-sink would just insulate the RAM more than they would dissipate heat (but hey, what do I know?).Secondly, maybe I just got unlucky with a bad batch but one of my modules caused the computer to not POST and the other worked by itself but had many bad addresses that caused system instability and BSODs referencing memory addresses.This is my first time buying Patriot memory, and probably will be the last (Still getting replacement through the lifetime warranty though). My main computer uses G.skill Ripjaws and my brother uses Mushkin (neither of us have had any problems) - granted they were quite a bit more expensive, but I'd say worth it - especially since their heat sinks are REAL. |

I ordered almost a complete system a month ago.When everything was correctly installed, the system dit boot up, but only for 2 seconds.After trying many things, I finally came to the conclusion that 1 of the 2 memory modules didn't work.BUT, thanks for the wonderful customer service from NCIX, they have been replaced really quickly.Now it works like a charm !!! |

Pros:Nice heatsink feels cold. Looks nice in a Z77 MSI Big Bang. Not a single issue so far it's very solid ram. Ram doesn't feel cheap either. I'm an intel buyer for reasons like this. Comment:

As a ram kit it is fine and would be nice on a generally mid level pc. tested for 3 Hours using various programs including games and various editing software. would purchase again if I need more blue ram and if its still available |
Very good product. Quality is top notch. The heat shield is actually aluminum over copper not plastic and it's very effective.. do some research before posting bad infos.
