Patriot Memory Extreme Performance Viper PC2-8500 Enhanced Latency - 4.0GB Dual-Channel Kit
Cons:the weak link in my OC
Pros:good ram, no errors, cheap Comment:
had to underclock my ram by 33hz to make my 4.25ghz work on my 9550... other than that no errors and the price was outstanding. |

Patriot Memory Extreme Performance Viper PC2-8500 Enhanced Latency - 4.0GB Dual-Channel Kit
Cons:-Not good at overclocking with stock latency.-Looser timings only offer midly improved overclocking.
Pros:-4GB of memory-DDR2 1066 speeds-Decent stock latency 5-5-5-15-Lower voltage than previous model-Cool looking heatsinks-Great price Comment:
The RAM is kind of deceiving when you see the picture. It looks cool so you kinda assume it is for the hardcore. It runs at its advertised speeds, but if you are looking for lots of RAM overclocking, you won't get it with these. Nowadays though, RAM overclocking isn't as important as CPU overclocking. With lowering the ratio you can achieve a high FSB with these thankfully. With a Q9400 r 2.66Ghz I set the DRAM ratio to 3:4 and reached 3.20Ghz easily bringing the memory to its stock setting of DDR2 1066. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-10-09 02:43 PM |

Patriot Memory Extreme Performance Viper PC2-8500 Enhanced Latency - 4.0GB Dual-Channel Kit
Cons:None to this date
Pros:Total stabilityGreat look! Not that expensive with the mail-in rebate Comment:
I run these sticks with a DFI 790FX M2R. I heard that this motherboard is capricious about RAM. Well I didn't have a single issue with the Patriot. It's easy to run at 1066 with a Phenom. |

Patriot Memory Extreme Performance Viper PC2-8500 Enhanced Latency - 4.0GB Dual-Channel Kit
Cons:-Without EPP you must clock it manually.
Pros:-Overclockable-Looks decent Comment:
Great memory, runs stable at rated timings. Keep in mind however, that this memory is now made to run at 2.1V instead of 2.3V as per the Patriot website. Older versions of this RAM did indeed need 2.3V to run at the listed timings but the newer sticks only require 2.1V. |
Useful if your FSB is > 400Mhz.. otherwise get a DDR2-800 instead.. regardless, this RAM functions well and it looks pretty cool ^^
