Actually straightforward to install, no challenge with working with it. CPU-Z read it as DDR3 1333 2 GB x 2GB dual channel. Windows knowledge index gave this cash score of 7.three for CPU, and 7.four for Memory. Wow, 7.4 for this low-cost four GB memory?? I could upgrade to superior CPU!. I love this memory, also the rebate of ฤ.00 came within 3 weeks of that I sent UPC to Patriot. I just lovin it!. I don't see any other Ram can beat this in performance and cost. I don't care if I can overclock it or not. I love as it is.

Excellent looking modules; too bad you can't see them as soon as they're installed in the case. Excellent tech support from Patriot. (See 'Other Thoughts') None at this point. I am utilizing this RAM in a Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P motherboard. I realized this RAM is "optimized" for a distinct Intel platform and excellent operating results can not be guaranteed on an AM3 platform such as mine. Initially, I was getting BSOD's and Memtest86+ errors when the RAM was configured to its rated speed in the BIOS. Setting it at 1066 instead of 1333 speed corrected all errors but then I wasn't receiving the speed I wanted either. Working with V.L. (tech support person's initials), we changed the Trfc for the populated DIMMS in the BIOS to 300ns and also moved the DIMMS from motherboard slots 1 & two to slots 3 & 4. These two changes solved the dilemma and the RAM now runs at 1333 speed with no Memtest errors. We also adjusted system voltage but this proved unnecessary in the end. So now with DDR3 voltage set to 1.65, both DIMMS in slots 3 & four rather of 1 & two, and Trfc for the populated DIMMS set to 300ns, the system is flying high. Numerous thanks to V.L. and Patriot Memory!

The heat sinks are massive and tall and got in the way of the fan on my Freezer 64, but thankfully it has superior rubber mountings with allowed it to be moved a small out the way. I had to manually set the settings to the recommended setting in the bios of the board and it runs extremely quick as such. I also had to up the voltage manually to 1.65 from 1.5 that the board defaults to. These are the default setting of the memory but for some reason it won't default to them. It has been very stable at 1333 settings right after setup in the bios, but I can't get a lot much more out of it.

This memory runs genuinely very good for me. Hasn't gave me any huge problems(see beneath) due to the fact I bought it 2 months ago. Fit with my all black case pretty well. Will look genuinely good with the two red led 120mm fans I'm adding, My mobo( GA-770T-USB3) undervolted this memory at stock to run at 1066MHz so I had to upp the voltage to 1.64 volts to run at 1333MHz First time buying DDR3. I put this in a budget AMD gamer with a Athlon II x4 630 Propus. All new low power consumption components went into this create and this fit properly.
