Patriot Supersonic Pulse 128GB USB 3.0 Drive Rugged Aluminum Housing Flash Drive
Cons:Short 2 year warranty.Not as fast as 64GB version.Small files write a lot slower.
Pros:Great Value.Reasonably fast.Nice aluminum case. Comment:
All in all, a good little thumb drive for the price (35 cents per GB). Not nearly as fast as the 64GB I bought a few weeks ago. I was hoping this unit would equal it but, oh well. It does however, easily meet its specs (20MB/sec and 120MB/sec). Atto test and video file transfer test verity a continuous write and read speed of 33MB/sec and 147MB/sec respectively. This is for 64KB or larger files. For reference, 4KB files write at 2MB/sec and read at 24MB/sec.The 64GB version had write and read speeds up to 118MB and 251MB!!!But for the fact that the 64GB version is much faster I would have rated this one higher. But, it does meet its specs easily so I can't complain. I transferred 23 GB to it and it took maybe a little more than 10 Minutes or so. Fast enough......At the sale price, it's good value but not at full retail! |
So far filled 64gb onto the stick. Stick is not really what I should call it, the small size and aluminum housing makes it less stick like for sure.Would be nice if the plastic cap would snap on the back end like some other memory sticks do. Hate losing those things. It is being used as a memory stick on a smart-tv for movies, so we just taped the cap on the side when plugged in. The only solution to keep from losing it.No files corrupted so far. CRC verified on all files, I like to do this when I get a new memory stick to ensure it all works, bit by bit.Speed wise, not an issue for playing videos on the tv, have not noticed any issues, and do not expect to.
