Patriot Viper Xtreme 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory
Cons:to bad its not 1866mhz
Pros:worked stable right off the bat, with my cross hair v formula,AMD Bulldozer FX-8150 8 Core Processor just fine in windows. Comment:
worked well in windows with out o,c. but for the gaming had to over clock, set the cpu bus speed to 240 and changed the ram timings 8-9-8-24 z 1600mhz which in turn made the cpu run at 3.86ghz and its absolutely stable. compared to my last rigs ram this exceeded my expectations. My last ram was gb skill flare 1600 mhz |

I purchased 12GB months ago from a different supplier. Super happy, but wanted more (24GB). Never had luck mixing two sets of ram. I use this rig for video/photo editing. So I purchased another brand of ram(24GB) all matched.I was not happy with the speed of the new 24GB (Other Brand). So I took a leap of faith. order a second set of this 12GB to make 24GB. Not one problem. CPU over clocked to 4.0GHz on stock voltages. Ram at 1600MHz, 8,8,9,8,24,1T. Ran prime95 for 36hrs, no issues.
