Patriot Wildfire PW120GS25SSDR 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Would have been far to pricy had it not been on sale
Pros:Wicked fastGot on sale for a very low price Comment:
Since installing as a drive for my OS, my boot times are unreal. It was super easy to install. The regular price point is very high and unless you can get this drive on sale, you might get more value out of a comparable drive from a different manufacture. |

Patriot Wildfire PW120GS25SSDR 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Still a lot of money for the size of the drive.
Pros:Fast read & write, fast response time. Comment:
I had a bit of trouble with this drive but I updated everything I could and it seems to run fine now. I would buy another one if i needed it. SSD's are not for everyone but if you think you need it and can afford it then go for it you won't be disappointed. Just as a example my boot time to windows was 1 minuets with my old hard drive now its 30 seconds. |

Patriot Wildfire PW120GS25SSDR 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Stability Issues, Price
Pros:Sata III, 6gb/s, Incredible read/ write speed. Comment:
Running 2 Wildfire 120's on an Asus P8P67 WS Revolution in Raid0 on the Intel Ports, had BSOD issues, hanging and freezes. There is a fix to this though! There is a firmware update to 2.2.0, and a pre-release accessable. Both through the Patriot forum. Installed the new (pre-release) firmware (3.3.0) off the Patriot SSD Support Forum and everything seems to be running fine now, and still maintaining incredible (have not run bench tests, but 7.9 WEI) speeds. The firmware update s should be better promoted. Had I been aware of the available upgrade, it would have been the first thing to do, as it seems to solve this issue which many SandForce SSD's face, even of other brands. |

Patriot Wildfire PW120GS25SSDR 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:none! (except the price)
Pros:6 GB/s and Sandforce controller Comment:
I can't believe how much difference an ssd makes! Not to mention this is one of the high end ones. This beast loads programs super fast and cuts windows startup time.(other thoughts): use regular hdd for storage |

Patriot Wildfire PW120GS25SSDR 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:price
Pros:Very fast And 32nm Nand Comment:
I went with the wildfire because it uses 32nm nand. So far I have been very impressed with the speed of this beast. After reading some much about the issues with 24nm I decided to go with this and I am glad I did. The price was more than some others but if it does what it's supposed to do without any problems the few extra bucks will be worth it. Time will tell. |

Patriot Wildfire PW120GS25SSDR 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Price is a little high but right on par with similar models by OCZ
Pros:7.8 performance index on Win7 64-bit Ultimate , small and light, bracket and screws are included if needed Comment:
I am very happy with this purchase. I was not sure sure how this would perform in the real world... and it peforms admirably well! The most demanding games' loading times have been cut by at least half and in most cases, it is 5 to 10 times faster. I'm comparing to a regular SATAII hard drive with a 64MB buffer. |
I am currently running four (4) of these in Raid 0 on an LSI 9265-8i (with FastPath and the BBU). Very fast and fairly reliable (dropped the Raid 0 once when 1 drive was flagged as bad - never found anything wrong with it). This build was initially done with an Intel Elm Crest - that was fast but no comparison to this. I am running an Intel DX58S02 (BIOS 888) / 990X / 24 GB GSkill. No O/C. I had to slow the post process down (display the splash screen) otherwise the spinners ( 4 x Hitachi on the Intel on-board) would not have enough time to spin up and I had problems with that Raid 10 configuration. I take automatic full image backups twice a day in case I lose the Raid 0 configuration. No real performance hit doing this - and from experience the restore is quite quick.
