Patriot Xporter Dash 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Cons:Slow SpeedAnnoying Retractable Could Be Smaller
Pros:32GBFormattable as NTFS Comment:
Unfortunately this drive (against recommendations) was my choice to pick. The speeds are less than expected (as you see by others reviews), yet it succeed at protecting my data and allowing portability for a high amount of data. Could be better, but if the price is right, go for it. |

Patriot Xporter Dash 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Cons:-not good build quality- retractable (the little foot -push mechanism) comes off too easily- I had to use craze glue to glue it back and it is no longer retractable
Pros:-retractable Comment:
Not a friendly retractable; slightly better than average speed; nothing spectacular.I bought it when it was on sale for $34 - it is fair for the price capacity ratio. Not recommended because of the poor build quality of the push mechanism. |

Patriot Xporter Dash 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Cons:
-Build quality-Speed
Pros: -Price-Capacity Comment:
Great price on this thing - nearly $1/GB on sale!Only issue - it feels a bit flimsy. I'm worried that if I try to plug it into a computer the wrong way, the latch will break off, leaving the USB connector without anything to hold it in place.I'd probably rig something up with paperclips to keep it out so I can plug it in - but I think it'd get ugly quite fast. :PSpeed is decent enough, but I'm only copying large files to it - usually while walking away from my computer. Seemed about like those cheap Kingston sticks when I was watching it, which is what I'd expect from the cheapest 32GB flash drive. (by nearly $15!)I |

Patriot Xporter Dash 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Cons:
Unacceptable read and write speed results for a High Speed USB 2.0.
Pros: Retractable. Easy visible light when it's in operation. Comment:
As most of the USB 2.0 external devices, this drive is pre-formatted in FAT32. FAT32 gets faster response for speed but provides no security. To validate its capacity and to determine its read speed and itswrite speed, I use the program h2testw.The drive is quickly detected by Windows XP Home SP3.But it takes almost 2 hours and and 11 minutes for the read and writesoperations to complete! Start time: 4:10; End time: 6:17.Here is the h2testw's result after 30 times to read and write consecutivelya 1GB or a 1,048,576 KB file: h2testwWritingVerifying----------------------29805 MByte29805 MByte2:10:51 h38:06 minTest finished without errors. You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.Writing speed: 3.80 MByte/sReading speed: 13.0 MByte/sDefinitely, these speeds are far from reasonable for a High Speed USB 2.0 device. :-(These speeds are not compliant with High Speed USB 2.0 as advertised on its packaging.Hopefully, non defective Patriot flash drives could do better than these speed results :-( I consider this flash drive as a defective drive and asked for an exchange.I am not sure if many people having a similar problem. The durability of this drive is not tested because of the short time owner.A low or Bad quality drive may failed on the 2nd time or the n times. Time will tell.Hopefully, NCIX will accept my request and honor my RMA exchange request. So, be aware of this speed problem. It really an unimpressive result! Bad value for who considered time is money. Please post this real and honest evaluation so the manufacture will make better products. |

Cons:
-durability-crappy plastic shell-slow transfer speed

Don't put this in your pocket! Not the greatest design and craftsmanship. Feels like cheap China crap in your hand. There are better ones out there. |

Patriot Xporter Dash 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Cons:
none at its price point
Pros: Cheap and reliable Comment:
Makes for an effective sneaker net storage device. Transfers at 10mb/s write and 30+ mb/s read. Not sure why other people are having speed issues. Mine is formatted NTFS which may or may not have something to do with it. |

Patriot Xporter Dash 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Cons:
Slower than getting my grandma to memorize the bits 1 by 1
Pros: Cost me less than $1/GB after taxconvenient hiding mechanism Comment:
Reads at roughly 12MB/s sustained when sequentialWrites at no more than 3.5MB/s. 2.5 hours to fill the damn thing. Currently testing whether it's actually 32GB but I'm guessing if they cut corners on the speed they wouldn't need to cut corners on the size. Feel like I'm going to break the locking mechanism within 3 months of use. The bright side? The loop for keeping it attached to your key chain seems somewhat sturdy. Bought a couple 8GB corsair drives for 5 bucks each at the same time and they work at triple the speed. |

Patriot Xporter Dash 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Cons:
not smoking fast
Pros: small size, fairly robust Comment:
Not super-fast, but not dog-slow either. The retractable connector works fairly well, and the stick itself is slim enough to fit most places. |

Patriot Xporter Dash 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Cons:
Extremely slow.e.g. 4.3GB file transfer = 25mins
Pros: Cheaper than other 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive after rebate Comment:
If speed is important that it is not for you.My OCZ Diesel 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive is 3 times faster. |
32gb is a nice size but don't expect to be writing a lot of frequent data to this stick. 5mb/s write is nothing above average but 17mb/s read is perfectly useable and don't forget the 1ms access time that make random finds very fast over he whole 32gb.
