Large capacity, rapidly, rugged design. As others have stated, cap could be very easily lost. My concern acquiring was the size of the housing. Following receiving, fits perfectly in the front of my xbox 360. It might block close USB plug ons a laptop or tight motherboard. Appears nicely constructed to me which is a excellent tradeoff.

Exceptional read/write speedsSturdy rubberized case The case is a *little* on the big side. Nonetheless, for most desktop USB ports, it functions just fine. It's only on laptop USB ports where they are squished together that space becomes an concern if you want this drive to fit plus any other USB devices. I bought this so that I could put the OS X install media on it along with Office for Mac. Now that I have tried it on several Macs, I will never go back. Using this drive to install OS X makes the install take about 1Ǚ the time compared to off DVDs.

The drive is decently fast, seems to be rather durable. The rubber cap that comes with it stays firmly in spot. (I was worried about losing the rubber cap.)I operate in a high-static workplace. So far, the drive seems nicely insulated to shield against static shocks.Delivered in only three days. Was effectively packed. None. I got what I paid for. This thing is a DUST MAGNET. Just getting this thing in my pocket, the rubber gets insanely dusty.

Amazing Speed! As every person else mentions, its fantastic to copy large video files with. The length makes the unit prone to damage from bumping, particularly on a laptop. Had to send mine in for replacement under warranty. It was usually a small 'loose' in the connector. One particular day, it just broke absolutely. This has very good speed with it being USB 2. tech. I do have a decent speed laptop or computer which does assist out on the whole transferring of files. Not the fastest on the market. Excellent cost for the storage and speed.

Im pleased with this drive. I got it when it initially came out a few years ago and have often been happy with the speed. not exacty blown away but i never ever seriously have to wait for my files to transfer from A to B (files are normaly a few hundred mb photoshop docs). Capacity is what it is. Physical size of the drive is just proper i dont have to invest all day trying to discover this in my pocket. half the cost i bought it for a year or two ago. lanyard is thin but at least its cost-free and surprisingly durable nonetheless hanging. NOT Actually A CON BUT:the case isnt what i expected it to be. its fundamentally just an average clam shell style with a rubber sleeve but its lasted all this time so its hard to trash talk it. when you get this factor in your hands you can tell this isnt just a different flash drive. At Kinko's the girls printing my stuff had been incredibly impressed with the flash drive... Pro tip: stick the cap on the stub that the lanyard attaches to so you dont lose it.

After 3 years of faithful service, the drive is still tickin' along although it doesn't get used as much since I have faster and larger thumb drives. ATTO Disk Benchmark indicates write speeds of 8 MB/s on larger files (>128 kB) but read speeds are a respectable 30 MB/s tested on a USB 3.0 port formatted NTFS.Had one incident where the drive became unusable (lost data) and had to reformat but all was well subsequently which indicates that it was probably an ejection issue rather than hardware failure.No complaints but if you demand high performance, look elsewhere.

XBox 360 has extremely high standards for USB flash drives. Several flash drives will not be verified for full unrestricted use by the XBox 360 (S or Kinect). This one is really rapidly, affordable and passed the XBox verification with flying colors. Case protection makes it a little bulky so it will not fit into the back of the XBox where I wanted it. Fits into the front of the XBox just fine. Might want a USB2. extension cable to hook it up in back.

Thick rubber casing assists keep if from acquiring damaged in the pocket. It is about twice as quickly as my last usb drive. I have two of these and they are nonetheless operating excellent. The case is a little large and could block neighboring usb ports. I am utilizing a 1ft extension cord to plug mine into my crowded usb hub. Also I wish it had been usb three.. It functions. The read / write speed is comparable to yet another "fast" USB flash drive in my collection. The "key chain / cap holder" on the end of the drive is type of lame, in particular considering that it wasn't quite helpful at temporary storage of the cap.....lost the cap already! Also, I noticed that the drives gets warm when transferring huge data files (ӱGB). The rubber case acts as insulation and heat has a tendency to cause degradation. The soft rubber case also does a nice job of collecting the lint in my pocket. The rebate: It's early in the method and we'll see if Patriot follows by means of.Newegg's EggSaver Shipping: Everytime that I get involved with waiting and waiting for a shipment I often ask myself "Why did I do that?"

-the rubber casing feels solid-Newegg shipping and packaging is excellent as usual-fairly rapid - 17MB/s for a single four-GB file, but just like any other flash, it goes below 1MB/s when i transfer ㅇ,000 small files. Of course I'll in no way have to transfer so several.I've had a 16GB OCZ Diesel and a 8GB Sandisk Cruzer Micro, both of which had crawling write speed compared to this. As usual for any ubs flash, the speeds dont come even close to my Seagate and WD usb2 7200rpm drives, which never produced any sense to me. I would expect the flash memory to be much more quickly than rpm drives just since of the architecture. Not to mention that the flash is inserted directly into the motherboard, whereas the external HDDs go through a lengthy cable. Each the Seagate and WD 7200rpm are in the 40 MB/s range.-hopefully the rubber cap won't loosen up too significantly more than time

This drive was a great purchase! It runs fast, and its solidly built. I'm just glad I can carry around a blue ray movie on my flash drive without it taking forever to copy over. Would definately reccommend.

This flash drive has a huge quantity of memory and appears to be rather robust. I have had some problems with the read speed for each directories and files. At times I get a "program not responding" soon after clicking a folder or file and have to wait up to 30 seconds before anything occurs. This is rather frustrating as I discover myself going back to my Sandisk Titanium 4gb drive at times to lower the frustration. I bought this when there was a rebate provided in October of 2010 and submitted the rebate paperwork the initial week of November. As of December 15th, there is nonetheless no record of my rebate in their system.

Purchased this for the sole objective of employing as a cheaper alternatitve to an pricey large challenging drive for my new model 360. Located a review on-line of this model becoming utilized particularly for that purpose, so decided to give it a shot (search for "patriot xporter xt boost xbox" really should give you the evaluation.) Plugged in and verified without issue. Have accessed the drive with out issue - both saving and retreiving. Casing (while highly rugged and looks to be able to withstand the majority of any everyday use you can throw at it), does not fit snuggly into the 360 console (again, this is the reason I got it, and is the only "con" I can believe of. If you are finding this for a pc/Laptop, you must not have this concern). You can squeeze it in there (like I have) and it works fine. May possibly ultimately try to slide it out of the rubberized case for a far more secure fit, but not sure it is necessary at this time.
