I am a Pc tech and I personal over a dozen flash drives. I have worn this a single about my neck every perform day for more than a year. I have plugged it into at least 150 computers during that time. I run apps from it, install apps from it, and transfer data to and from it and have in no way had a glitch. The hole exactly where the lanyard goes has under no circumstances broken. It is sturdy, fast, trusted, fantastic seeking, and has a massive storage capacity. I actually like this drive. I have lost the cap 3 occasions. At least one particular of these instances, I am fairly certain it somehow fell off, possibly mainly because it got caught on something although I was wearing it around my neck. This was not a dilemma since Patriot consumer service sent me a replacement for no charge, even although I provided to spend for a new cap(s). The price was reasonable, you get what you spend for. It was worth just about every penny I spent. The cap fits tight, but if it fit just a tiny bit tighter, it would be then be the excellent drive. |

The drive is fine and functions how it must. Write speed is fantastic, read speed is typical. Lots of storage space. Earlier COMMENT:None for the item, but for the firm. Submitted my paperwork with anything they asked for, received a post card stating that the paperwork was incorrect. Resubmitted the paperwork and then got a message back stating that it the buy date was not inside their rebate period. That's garbage! Thanks Patriot. UPDATED Review:I contacted Patriot directly and told them about my frustration with the rebate |

Transfer speeds are quick. just stopped operating...of course out of the warranty period. Copied files from one pc plugged into yet another computer system and nothing... tried plugging back into the original computer nothing at all. These drives are super rapidly but I wouldn't use them for sensitive information or backup. This is the 1st usb drive I've owned that ever failed on me. I have many drives from 6 yrs ago that nonetheless operate with no issue and this is supposed to be a rugged item and it stopped working without having any abuse. |

Read/transfer rate in excess of 20MB/sec. ... write speed is as claimed (they say fourӵ MB/sec., mine is about five.5MB/sec.) ... drive is all-weather ... impact-resistant ... right after rebate should be less expensive than a lot of 32GB drives. Even although it works as stated, the write speed is a little disappointing, especially due to the fact the reads are so rapid. It's a pretty big deal to me mainly because I consider write speeds far more essential than read speeds. In all fairness even though, there are only a handful of 32GB drives that even claim comparable write speeds and only two that supply appreciably better write speeds and a equivalent level of toughness (and they expense additional). There was small distinction in writes no matter whether formatted FAT32 or NTFS ... reads seemed to be a tiny superior with NTFS. |

Nice design, decent value. Just pray that you don't get one that is write protected. Unusable ideal out of the package. I purchased two of these and each are write protected. Cannot be formatted. They are totally useless. In searching the net, I identified that Patriot is conscious of the dilemma and have an application to right this challenge. You must request this app by means of email. This drive is quickly. As other individuals have noted, the case is flexible rubber. I suspect that it will not survive if carried in a pocket. Would make 5 eggs if it were more sturdy, but I'm utilizing it purely for backup off-website storage and it is best for that. Manufacturer Response:Dear Anonymous Thank you for buying our item and I hope now, in hindsight, you uncover that our drive has exceeded your intial expectations.John SmithPatriot Memory Technical Supportassistance@patriotmem.com |

32GB is a lot of capacity and I have loaded them up and employed them day-to-day for periods of time. It is nice to have that a lot space and they are reasonably quickly. I've owned three of these more than the past 2 years now and all of them have failed. I would not anticipate ALL Three of them to die (one inside 9 months). Not worth the threat. You get no warning and with such a brief life-span, I'm going to higher-end eSATA disks for now. Manufacturer Response:Dear KC,We are sorry for any inconvenience this may well have brought on you. It is very unusual to have three drives fail. If the use of these drives have been consitant on the identical technique, then it is a possibility that these failures can be attributed to other hardware such as power provide or usb slots. High capacity, low price tag. Decent speed, considerably more quickly on reads than writes even though. I spilled water on it and the rubberized coating kept it protected. Do not keep in your pocket. That is where I kept mine so I wouldn't loose the cap. Right after nearly a year of carrying out this, the USB connector became bent, at some point enough so when I stuck it in a computer it cracked and now I have to jiggle it all about for it to be recognized. I took the rubber coating to see if I could repair it and was shocked to uncover the innards protected by a thin flimsy clear plastic shell (which is what cracked.) to top rated it off, the circuit board is wafer thin and the entire unit bends extremely effortlessly. If you will need one thing durable do not buy this. I would have rated greater when I first purchased it, but the product didn't make it even a year below the exact same circumstances I put many Kingston Data Travelers and Sandisk flash drives via. I function in IT, and I keep service packs, drivers, and utilities on my flash drive so high capacity for a very good value was what I was searching for right here. In retrospect, I wish I would have stuck with the Kingston products. Manufacturer Response:Hello Valued Client,If you haven't already carried out so, Please speak to support@patriotmem.com and we will get that drive replaced for you.Regards,Patriot Memory Assistance Team |

The capacity and speed of this drive is excellent. The price is reasonable. The rubberized case provides the illusion of durability as with the cap on it feels like you could run over it with your automobile and still have a functioning stick. However, the achilles heel on this stick is definitely the external USB connector which sort of defeats the purpose of producing/marketing/selling a stick that supposedly stands up to the rigors of just about every day use. As others noted, the external USB connector has grow to be "wobbly" on mine through regular use. I am quite careful with all of my laptop or computer gear & electronics...typically I infant my stuff. Unfortunately, this stick is no longer functional at all and this has induced some inconvenience given that I have to add a step to my intended transfer these days. Thankfully the numerous gigs I have on the stick have been backed up onto a laptop and a Computer. I know it's cliche by now, but usually back up your information. USB thumb drives must not be deemed "reliable" or "durable" no matter how bouncy the rubberized covering is. General I enjoy this drive's appear & function, but I may contemplate retractable alternatives in the future. I'll be seeking into getting this 1 replaced under warranty since it's been longer than 30 days when I bought it from Newegg. Manufacturer Response:Dear mjswoosh,We are sorry for any inconvenience you might have had with this ordeal. Rest assured that our goods rigorously tested and designed prior to it leaves our facility. Please do not hesitate to make contact with help@patriotmem.com to initiate a warranty replacement.Regards,Patriot Memory Help |

Huge! Quick, extremely fast. Difficult (but not difficult enough). Died following extremely heavy useage. I had that thing in and out of the USB ports of over 100 PCs all day long. Lastly 1 day it went intermittent, and finally stopped operating. I tried to save it. I whipped out the super duper incredibly fine pitch soldering iron, and tried to fix the broken USB connector to no avail. I gave it a fitting burial in the Ewaste bin, and am seeking for one more a single. I admit, I killed the poor factor. I also kept a lot of MP3s on it, and plugged it into my car stereo with a USB port to play them. Living on a dirt road, driving home every day the Xporter was subjected to vibrations that finally cracked the USB connector. That dirt road is doing the identical factor to my automobile. All in all I will take a single egg away and give it a solid four eggs. It's a darn good flash drive. Better than anything else I've observed.PS: It went by means of the washer & dryer many times. |

Portability and of course the storage capacity. Extremely beneficial for carrying restore files/work files/ loading programs to my wife's net book considering that it has no CD/DVD drive. I like the rubber/water proof casing mainly because I frequently end up wet from sweat and or sea water, so I don't have to worry about it significantly and it stays in my pocket when I am upside down and crawling around on decks and ladders and such. can't think of any...ummm, possibly it is type of bulky, but I like that! I don't give five star/egg reviews for something due to the fact that would imply perfection. |
Speed "Nearly" as StatedRubberized situation excellent for field personnel & public safetyItem is: four 1ǘ eggsTech Help from Patriot is: four eggsOnline RMA approach from Patriot is: eggs Lets begin with what occurred, a Crime Scene Tech was going to take a back up from a DVR at a Convenience Retailer by means of that units USB port.... Well the DVR reformatted the Xporter and it became unreadable... The PD gave it to us to look at. I contacted Patriot help and they said that they would send me their low-level format tool, and if that didn't perform to go to the web site and follow the RMA approach... Properly the LLFT came up with an error code, so I went to their web page, and they have an on-line kind to fill out, which I did, and included the error code..... Never heard a point back,,, so I did it again... Still Nothing at all..... After a lot more..... Nevertheless nothing at all..... I'm a network admin, so I did examine the firm spam filter even even though the Patriot Help tech that e-mailed me the LL Format tool had no issue getting by way of the technique.... My only conclusion is that their RMA by way of the website doesn't perform, and you really should get in touch with their 1800 number and sit on the phone for an hour.... Which I truly don't have the time for.... We have dozens, and dozens of their thumb drives, and I do have to say this is the only time we've had a problem, and this is the only time that we've tried an RMA.... the benefits have not been impressive with the Restricted Lifetime warranty. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client,Did one particular of our help reps assign you the technical reference id? You will need to have that initial in order to start your rma method.
