I've been using 4GB version for about 8 months now. performance is fantastic. Access time is only a few ms, about 5-6 times faster than typical hard drive. Data transfer is blasting fast. Rubberized case has a very good, rugged feel to it.

So far so good. I use this stick to carry around virtual machine images, around 6 GB. FAT32 does not support files of this size so I formatted it with NTFS (to format a flash stick with NTFS under Windows, go to Device Manager, double-click on the device, select Policies, and select ''Optimize for Performance''; NTFS will now appear as an option for file system when formatting it). Transfer speeds are steady around 30 MB/s for reading and 10 MB/s for writing. The rubber casing is nice however the soft rubber attracts lint and after being in my pocket for awhile the stick has a lint coat that is hard to clean. I would also prefer a cap-less design with the USB connector extending when pushed out. The capacity, speed, and price of this stick make it a very good choice IMO.

It's fast & bullet proof. Holds all my working files with ease. Like the rubberized case, adds protection, & doesn't feel fragile. Now buying a 16G for all my pict's!

Got this for ten bucks after rebate. Super Fast drive. Great for Ready Boost. This works Great in Windows 7, Open Solaris, and XP. This is big and fast enough to boot from. i'm rough on things, this is encased in rubber, so it should stand up well. i'll be getting more. Thanks.

Mine just survived a trip in the washing machine. I dried it out for a week by the heating vent and plugged it in today. Works like new.

This is a great, durable USB drive. They even include a short USB extension in case you have trouble with recessed USB plugs that may interfere with the housing on the drive, but I haven't come across any USB ports that it didn't fit, so haven't used the extension yet.Strangely, the USB extension would probably cost you $10 if you were trying to buy it separately... it's pretty heavy duty.This whole product is solid. I recommend it to anyone who wants their data safe, rain or shine.

This product does the job easily, fast and accurately. I am buying another unit for my desktop as the Patriot can handle the overload of a few thousand high quality photos. When I want or need another unit it will be a PATRIOT.

I just got mine. I liked the $ 10 rebate deal, but I see it's only $ 5 now. I like the rubberized case as it looks like it might add some protection if dropped. The only thing I don't like is that the eggheads now have a 16GB OCZ drive for only 5 bucks more. I pulled the trigger on this one too fast. Do your homework before buying anything online!

The unit is very well built and looks great. Although the rubber is a lint magnet, it still looks good and I believe it will protect it from water and dust quite well. The read and write speeds are very quick, they demolish my sandisk cruzer. Writing a 40 MB file took less than 2 seconds, with the read time being even faster. The lanyard that it comes with is kind of cheap and doesn't match the colour very well.

This drive is super fast. I used it to transfer cd instilation disks to load program software into pc's that don't have a cd drive. When using the patriot drive to load a program it did it in a matter of seconds instead of minutes. At first I thought it couldn't have loaded that fast.. But, it did. Definately 2 thumbs up !!!! SUPER FAST

Bought this with $10 rebate so end cost was $10. A GREAT buy. I have two laptops, one with vista and the other with xp and I swap between the two with no problems. Used it to transfer data to and from my computers to a Mac and that also was no problem. Very quick transfer rates. If I could get more than one rebate I would buy more of these without hesitation.

This USB stick is probably the most durable thing I have ever seen when it comes to USB storage devices. It works flawlessly and is very cheap for the amount of space you get.

Decent flash drive, one of the fastest I've used. My only complaint is that it has an extremely weak neck. Mine survived about 6 months before the USB connector broke off the chip/board. I replaced it with an OCZ Rally2, which is a bit faster and seems more durable so far. YMMV.

Great little USB Drive, very handy to store a lot of files on. And the casing states it is water and shock proof, not planning on trying it but is a great feature. Highly recommended!

Robust USB key overall. I use it to transfer movie to my DVD player. The reading speeda are good, the writing speeds are average. But great product for the price.

This isn't the smallest drive, but if you drop(maybe even throw) it on a hard floor, it's probably not going to bust open like regular plastic ones might. Along with size, the black rubber case has another issue, it attracts hair, lint etc. On my mac I had to format it but that wasn't a big prob., it only shows 7.34 gb, which is normal, but seems like a little too much is missing. It seems pretty fast, overall it was a good buy, mail in rebate or not

Very fast. It can take a LOT of abuse. My brother left it in his cargo pants in the wash and it still works perfectly fine. I got it on sale too, so the value was excellent!

This is an incredibly amazing deal. I bought two of these, one for me and one for a co-worker at Christmas. They are fast reading and writing, and you won't find a better price. The construction looks cheap on the outside but once you hold it in your hand you know it would take alot to damage it's case. Very well made.

I like this drive. It looks great and its not slow.I think the lanyard could have been a little better, but who really cares.what i don't like is that he usb dongle seems flimsy. I've almost bent it 45 degrees with little effort. It still works after carefully bending it back, so I'm gonna be a little more careful and see how it goes.I would buy it again, so long the dongle doesn't end up to be too flimsy.
