Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable)
Cons:Little rubber end that covers the stick is easy to lose.
Pros:SpeedDurability Comment:
I loved this USB stick. However mine did eventually fail. My little cousin bent the USB part that goes into the computer. Not at all due to the stick's fault. Will buy again soon. Love the fact you can drop it and not worry about losing your data. My only bad thing to say is that little rubber covering that is on it. I'd like to see something retractable or something that isn't so easy to lose. |

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable)
Cons:Bulky, unattractive design.
Pros:Lightening Fast, Durable and light weight Comment:
I was impressed by the speed of this memory stick. All of my usb failed that is the reason why i brought this. Compare to previous usb, the speed were phenomenal. It just blew away the speed of failed usb. I highly recommend this and I will buy this again if i need to buy another usb or any kind of small memory stick. |

Cons:Bulky, sometimes the device cant fit in my USB Port is if the USB is to far into the computer.
Pros:Fast and Easy to Operate. Comes with extra software. Comment:
I would buy this again if they reduce the size into a more smaller version of it. We will just have to see in the near future what happens. |

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable)
Cons:bulky, easy to lose cap
Pros:fast, price is worth it, great for USB booting Comment:
The Xporter XT is one fast flash drive, and is definitely worth the price, if you're a computer techie, but it isn't very good as a all-around use USB drive, due to its bulkiness, its easy-to-lose cap (which I lost a long time ago) and its incapability to hold its own weight and other weight (such as keys connected to the loop at the end) using the USB port. This is because I noticed that the USB connector has very soft solder joints and bent when I plugged it in with my keys hanging from the end. However, I managed to bend it back, and so it did not break. In conclusion, it's a good maintenance USB, but not really an all-around USB. |

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable)
Cons:None so far
Pros:Transfers files quickLarge enough you won't loose itFeels almost indestructible Comment:
This is by far the best thumb drive I have ever used. It transfers files quicker than any other I have used, generally averaging around 15 MB/s. The rubber case seems like a very good idea and makes it feel more secure from drops and water as advertised. Haven't tested the waterproof part yet, but that may happen eventually. |

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable)
Cons:Bulky and the rubber inscriptions easily attract and trap dust
Pros:Great write and read speed, durable Comment:
In terms of functionality, this is a great USB drive for both reading and writing. I'll only bother with Patriot from now on for transferring large files. They even give you a free USB extension cable, which I found useful for USB ports too narrow for this bulky drive. The rubber adds to the durability but it also attracts dust, and due to the logo, it can be a bit annoying to wipe off. This is no big deal, however.Bottomline: great functionality, but aesthetics aren't too good. |

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable)
Cons:Can't think of a single one so to be really picky it's 2-3" long which could be less desireable for small laptops on the go, just be careful not to break it of while it's plugged in.
Pros:Advertises 200X (200 x 176KB/s = 35.2MB/s), soft rubber casing makes shock and liquid splash resistant, was $23 on sale, cap snugs onto string/key ring nub so you won't lose/misplace the cap when the drive is plugged in, comes in a small blister pack and a 2-sided cardboard insert with device info. Comment:
I ran WinSAT disk random read/write tests on this drive. Using a FAT32 64KB allocation unit size I got:4KB RandomRead 5.37MB/s, RandomWrite 1.18MB/s512KB RandomRead 29.37MB/s, RandomWrite 5.82MB/sSo this makes it the fastest usb flash drive I own. According to the specs 200X = 200 x 176KB/s = 35.2MB/s since 1X means 1X CD-ROM transfer rate. It's fast, havn't had a problem in the 8 days, cap conveniently snugs onto the end where a key ring/string could be tied. All soft rubber casing makes it water resistant. Just don't drown it in water but it should handle splashes just fine. Blue status LED flashes for activity. This review was modfied by poster @ 06-25-10 10:27 AM |

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable)
Cons:None!
Pros:-Very fast-Sturdy-Good value-Better than the Corsair Flash Voyager 8GB (better value, and faster too I presume!) Comment:
Don't get me wrong, but this flash drive is completely amazing - it's a lot faster than the old Kingston 8GB (that was getting really slow) that I replaced, and does in fact feel and seem sturdy with the rubber casing. I chose this over the Corsair Flash Voyager for the slightly better value, and I did also read in reviews that it was somewhat faster. No cons at all, so it gets a full 5/5 from me. |

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable)
Cons:-None
Pros:-Solid build-Fast transfers Comment:
This is how every memory manufacturer should build their flash drive. This thing can't break. The idea of using rubber as casing is brilliant. I'd buy another Xporter if I need another flash drive. |

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable)
Cons:Water- and shock-resistant specification may encourage users to experiment and deliberately abuse the drive.
Pros:Exceptional read/write speeds Comment:
Fast, fast, fast read and write speeds! Downside: I'm going crazy trying to convince my coworkers that speed is an important factor when deciding on which USB drive to purchase. Most users think that only the capacity is important -- until they've tried this drive. |

Cons:Maybe the size dor some people
Pros:Fast, reliable, capacity Comment:
Bought it in sale a 22$ and would buy it again it's one of the fastest and a 22$ it was an excellent ratio of GB/$. Also if you are afraid to walk on it, that your dog may take it or just to drop it in water keep in mind that this key was made to survive you. |

Is this a counterfeit memory stick?
Comment:
This is by far the slowest usb stick I have ever used. There is no way it will pass Ready-Boost certification as it is advertised to do. The rubber case does appear to make it very rugged and the price is reasonable, but it is really too slow for even casual use. I did copies and other testing and found the data is good. Just slow. |
I've been utilizing this stick considering that the end of November and it has worked quickly without having any troubles. I ordered this product on the 24th of November and at the end of December I got an e-mail delivering tracking of my rebate status. Then at the end of January I received the check in the mail. So in total the rebate process took two months. None
