Plextor 128GB SSD M5P 2.5 SATA3 6GB/S
Cons:-no included SSD tool software

Pros:-very fast-reliable
Comment:
Using this as the main OS drive in my desktop. One of the best SSD's you can get at the moment Fast, reliable and best of all, it's not Sandforce based. Scored 1047 in AS-SSD benchmark. Highly recommended. One downside is that it does not include SSD utilities like Intel (SSD Toolbox) and Samsung (Magician).

Comment:
I picked up one of these to put in a Compaq CQ56-240CA I purchased last year, price matched to $130. Not exactly a top model laptop, but a lot better than my 8 year old laptop I had before it. Note that this laptop only supports SATA2 (3GB/S), not the SATA 6GB/S that this hard drive can operate at.The laptop had a 320GB Scorpio Blue installed originally, and it would take about 1 1/2 - 2 minutes from the time I hit the power button until I could be browsing the net, which is what the laptop is used for primarily. After installing this Plextor M5P SSD, this time has been reduced to about 24 seconds! Everything about the laptop feels incredibly fast! Windows Experience Index gives this SSD a 7.7 in my laptop and AS SSD benchmark gave it a score of 880! My Crucial M4 in my main PC (also running SATA2) only scored about 510.It came shipped with firmware 1.00, but updating it to 1.01 was relatively easy with the downloadable .iso file and a cd-r. I did have to switch my SATA controller to IDE mode though in order for the firmware tool to run properly, but apparently it should work in AHCI. Not sure what happened there.Still, my laptop is lightning fast, the old hard drive, using the supplied 3.5" adapter, is going to give my HTPC a bit more storage space and everyone is happy! I highly recommend this SSD.
