Passive cooler, 1gb ddr3 ram, HDMI with 7.1 surround sound, PCI express two.1, dx11. This tiny card has so a lot. I purchased this for an HTPC construct and i need to say it fits the bill perfectly. No noisy fan! I was using the video that comes on the motherboard but this smokes that. Glad i upgraded. uncomplicated set up. drivers from ati worked fantastic very first time. None! THIS IS NOT A GAMING CARD!!!! If you are thinking of buying this for gaming, save up your cash and get a more quickly card!!!

It runs DvD movies like a dream has blue ray compatability, simple to install and uninstall doesnt plug into psu just plugs into mother board. Incredibly inexpensive. Cant run a game on high for decent playables but if you switch to 1280x____ runs Games like International Agenda on High at about 30.14 fps which is decent for the graphics of the game. If your seeking for a fantastic excellent graphics card thats cheap for its energy check out the n450gts cyclone GDDR5 runs amazing with all games. Manufacturer Response:This is not a gaming graphics card. As a rule of thumb, you can't devote โ on a graphics card and expect wonderful gaming performance. Its an HTPC card, so it's primarily designed with media playback in thoughts. It can do 3D gaming, but quite extremely light gaming. If you want one thing for gaming then yes go for a thing a tiny bit additional potent. Thanks.-Hugo

operates great, have it running in hybrid crossfire with my 880G board's 4250 GPU. bought it as a tiny added a thing for my HTPC i thought items were going fantastic, until i was calibrating the image on my tv, when i graced across the "Overdrive" tab of CCC. this sucker idles at 72 Celsius. that's no sarcasm, we're talking 161.6 Fahrenheit here. to make sure the reading was appropriate (you know how some temp sensors can be incorrect), i opened the case. this thing will burn your finger if you touch it. i'm not even going to attempt to attempt to place this on complete load until i get some sort of fan technique operating on it.i know GPU's can take high temps for extended periods, but this is ridiculous. plus it raises the temps of my case like crazy. i purposely bought a AMD 615e 45W processor for low power and low temps, and this video card tends to make it idle almost 15C larger than it did ahead of if everyone out there has come up with a new heatsink concept or a fan set up to cool this card, let me know Manufacturer Response:Just so that I'm conscious, there isn't something really incorrect with the card, appropriate? It sounds like your only quarrel is that the card is too hot for your liking. The temperature you mentioned is undoubtedly hot, which means, if you try to touch a card that's operating at 72*C it's surely going to burn your finger. This temperature is nicely inside AMD's spec for this GPU, on the other hand. This card is intended to get hot, and in reality it's developed to get even hotter than that. This doesn't use a lot of energy, but it's designed to be quiet and consume a tiny bit of energy. Noise isn't incredibly well-liked among the HTPC crowd, which is why we went with a fanless style for this model. Feel no cost to e-mail me and I'll be additional than content to answer any queries you may possibly have with this card. My e-mail is hugo@powercolor.com, thanks.-Hugo

Moved from an integrated video card (Radeon 3000) to this one and noticed a slight difference in colors; they seem darker. Otherwise, not much to say, it works.

Cons:Down plugging to PCI-E 1x requires mod

Pros:comes with low profile bracketpassively cooledHDCP

I bought this to give my HTPC a video card to play back blu ray videos for the HDCP support and for an HDMI port. The motherboard in HTPC only has one expansion port, which is a PCI-e 1x slot (no, this is not a good motherboard I am using). Using a PCI-e 16x to 1x adapter did not work until I applied a B17 shorting mod to get it to work. After that it did work when I am using it in a 1x slot.Otherwise worked as advertised.

Fantastic price for eyefinity capability... Have not gotten the eyefinity selection to work but...I am attempting to run it at my office. I have full admin rights to my box, and software installed appropriately nonetheless the third monitor will not run. I am operating a active adapter from bizlink (that was 99 bucks from dell). Running windows 7 64bit.Issue solving steps so far...using the similar exact bizlink active adaptor that i took from my operating three monitor setup at my residence, 64Xwindows 7 as well. Even brought my monitors from my house to the office, produced confident the drivers had been up to date and nonetheless no dice... I have uninstalled and re installed a number of occasions and i am able to see the third monitor in windows OS even so the catalyst control center only lets me pick two of the 3 monitors accessible. I can have any two of the three monitors operating in any mixture nonetheless cannot get all 3 of them. removed and downloaded drivers from powercolor web internet site, and did the exact same on ATI website. Will update when i get it running.. it could be me Manufacturer Response:This model does not assistance Eyefinity. You require DisplayPort for Eyefinity, which this model does not have. I went more than the product description and it doesn't state anywhere that Eyefinity is supported on this model. This model (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131345&cm_re=powercolor_5450-_-14-131-345-_-Product) does, even so. Thanks.-Hugo

Fantastic Price. It's fanless so its quiet. Poor 4.4 rating Windows Exprience Index I am not a heavy gamer. I bought this card to replace a Radeon HD 4850 wǗGb. The 4850 had a rating of 7.three. This card has a four.four rating??? What's up with that? Manufacturer Response:This card and the 4850 are on two totally diverse levels. This is low-end entry level card, while the 4850 was regarded as a high-end card when it was originally launched. If you had been looking for an upgrade, the successors to the 4850 are the 5850, 6850, or 6950. If you need to have much more help attempting to figure which would far better suit your requirements you can e-mail me at hugo@powercolor.com, thanks.-Hugo
