PowerColor Radeon HD 5550 AX5550 512MK3-H Video Card
Cons:
RAM is just DDR3 while most cards are now DDR5
Pros: Low priceGood performance for the priceDirectx11 Comment:
Was looking for a cheap graphics upgrade for a non-gaming system and this suited my needs perfectly. Though you may be pleasantly surprised sometimes, this isn't -of course- a serious gaming card. But for the price, this is a pretty good product. |

PowerColor Radeon HD 5550 AX5550 512MK3-H Video Card
Cons:
Probably the minimum entry level gaming card. Nothing in the package besides the useless drivers CD and manual.
Pros: Inexpensive. $62 Pm'd with $20 MIR. GDDR3 vs most that are ddr2.HDMI out5xxx series cards are excellent for Hi-Def.Haven't gone passed 60c even with the tiny fanGreat for extremely tight budgets Comment:
Got this card just to hold me over until I pony up enough cash for a true gaming card. update d from an x1300 which could only play battlefield 2 at medium/low and 30-40fps. Now it's all maxxed out 8xAA 70-85fps. Played Assassins creed 2 on it, maxxed out, no AA. 25-40fps. Mafia 2, all medium, 30-55fps. Metro2033 med/low and 40fps. Ran the Resident Evil 5 benchmark, maxxed out no AA, 40fps avg. didn't go below 28fps. I would give a 3dmark06 score but it's buggin' out on me, i'll update this if I can.Doesn't draw much power, I have it in a dell computer with a 305w psu. 2.4ghz core 2 duo E6600, 2gb ram. 550mhz on the core, 800mhz memory. I overclocked it to 660mhz/880mhz. Tiny little fan, I was worried it would be extremely loud. Nope, it's dead silent, my hard drive is louder. Good card, it will play L4D2, COD, Bioshock, Mass effect etc just fine at med/high. If you can find a 5570 ddr3 though for the same price pick that up. |
I have two cards on cross fire mode, it runs just any game on 4x aa, 1080p, medium to high settings.Very good product, I would recommend to everyone looking for cheap gaming.Windows 7 rating 6.7
