Powercolor Radeon HD 4650 SCS3 600MHZ 512MB 800MHZ DDR2 DVI VGA HDMI PCI-E Video Card
Cons:- Not for serious gamers
Pros:- Passive cooling ( No Fan )- Runs very cool 42 C idle and 53 C under gaming load- Nice price- Quality built and lightweight GPU cooler- Good DVD and Blue-Ray video playback- No power connector neededLow power consumption |
I'm very impressed with this card. Temps are great I checked with HWmonitor and got 42 C idle and 53 C playing half life. The quality of the passive GPU cooler is impressive, it's built more like a Thermalright cooler than other passive coolers I've come across. What's really impressive is that although this cooler has a good amount of copper in it to reduce heat it manages to stay lightweight.I did some light gaming and at 1680x1050 on half life things ran quite well, however I'm fairly certain if modern games are something you plan on playing this isn't the card for you. However, if you're mainly a Photoshop 2D artist and/or Internet and video browsing this card is more than enough. Highly recommended!I'm an IT person and have seen a lot of video cards and I can honestly say this is the best built non-gaming card I've ever seen for under $100.00. Also I would recommend downloading ATI drivers rather than using the supplied Powercolor ones.
