Powercolor Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E 2XDVI-I Video Card
Cons:-A little on the warm side-No case decal!!
Pros:-Great Gaming & Video performance/price.-Affordable-Some extra stuff with the driver CD Comment:
Grabbed this on sale at $199 now I wish I'd have taken 2 for using in Crossfire. Wasn't really expecting such good performance at this price but then again I was only upgrading from a 9600GT.Comes with the usual accessories though the card does run a bit warm. - Catalyst 8.8 + the Fan Hack makes it VERY manageable though for the heat. |

Best bang for the buck. Temps are nice with the fan tweak (currently at 40%). You can't go wrong with this! |

Powercolor Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E 2XDVI-I Video Card
Cons:Runs very hot
Pros:Best bang for the buck currently Comment:
The only downfall is it's heat, under max load with the fan at 50% (GPU-Z reports ~4800rpm) it still reaches ~80'c at stock speeds with the case temp at ~34'c, I don't have AC so my room is generally about 30-32'c during summer. It works fine at these temps however. |

Powercolor Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E 2XDVI-I Video Card
Cons:Heat, Single slot cooler, overclockability limited.
Pros:Fast card for the money (price/performance), compact size, will only get better from here on in. Comment:
So far it's been great. I have two 4850's running in crossfire. I have the fans set to 45 on each and the noise is still very quiet for the most part. I would reccomend this card for anyone who is looking for a great card at a great price. |

Powercolor Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E 2XDVI-I Video Card
Cons:-Heat
Pros:-Performance-Cheap-Overclocks pretty good-Single slot-Efficient Comment:
ATI is back with this one. Very good card for the price, and it runs all games maxed out except for Crysis. Heat is a bit of an issue, but I reseated the card and applied some AS5, and I also manually set the fan speed to %50. Idles at 45C, and load is around the mid 60's. Went directly to the Langley store and picked this up today. I would definitely buy again. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-01-08 12:32 AM |
This card is fast and able to play all my games at high settings at a very good frame rate. card may run hot but it is rated for it so all should be fine.
