I have a couple minor issues with setting up media sharing and directory permissions. However, the community is very good at answering support questions. Their customer support is also very helpful and willing to remote into your box if you need it |
Setting up a RAID-5 on the box was very simple. I have since added an extra drive and can confirm the grow function works well.The NAS itself is silent, but it doesn't do much more to dampen the sound of the hard drives than any basic aluminum HDD enclosure. So if you install noisy drives you will hear them.Read/writes to it are comparable to SMB shares on other computers on the network.
