QUMAX Xarmor U9 Wired Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown Switches
Cons:Keys are a little tight/small for my big hands
Pros:Much quieter than an IBM AT keyboard |
All in all I'm quite happy with my purchase. Although this would not be a good gaming keyboard because it only has 2-key rollover, it is very adequate for heavy duty data entry, programming, and documentation. It is not completely quiet -- there is a clicking when you bottom out the keys (which is a habit from years of using dome/membrane switch keyboards), but it is far, far quieter than the old IBM AT keyboards used to be.However, I think I'd gladly sacrifice a little more noise level for the sake of the larger keys on the AT keyboards. On the flip side, this keyboard saves a lot of desktop space compared to the Microsoft Natural that it replaced. (DO NOT buy the current MS Naturals. While the originals would last over 5 years, the newer ones didn't even last a year each for me, which is why I opted to switch back to a mechanical keyboard -- they have at least 10 times the lifespan, and only cost twice as much.)
