There is a nice rubberized coating on the keys. It has a full size backspace (important if you intend to do a lot typing). There are pass via USB and audio ports. It has an appealing finish and feel sturdy. The brief keystroke travel makes it best for gaming. The back lighting is weak and tough to see on all the keys. Further the back lighting is inconsistent with some keys (particularly the numpad) being substantially brighter than those found in the middle of the keyboard. Your lighting setting is not saved and resets every single time you restart your pc. The touch media panel performs intermittently leading to you having to go into the application to turn back lighting on. The slim style does not function properly with keyboard trays. It's not a negative keyboard but I've employed far better. The rubber keys really feel good in use but the keyboard itself is only a moderate step up from the standard keyboards that computers tend to come with. If you are critical about wanting superior input devices (for operate or gaming) you must look into a mechanical keyboard. |

I originally bought this item from Finest Acquire mainly because my old Microsoft keyboard of numerous years lastly quit immediately after spilling my coffee on it.I am what you would contemplate an *ex* specialist gamer. I competed in the Unreal series numerous years ago traveling to different areas in the United States.I am also an A+ certified computer system technician. The idea of rubberized keys on a slim-line keyboard intrigued me and going against ALL past expertise and knowledge of Razer merchandise in the gaming neighborhood among other "Professional" gamers, I decided to take my possibilities with this keyboard. What a mistake. Inside a matter of 2 months, the majority of rubber on the most applied keys practically completely wore off.The back-lighting would randomly perform. Often it would illuminate the keyboard, occasionally just particular keys, occasionally not at all. It would in no way save a setting.Within three months the keyboard would randomly have buttons quit working. The only fix would be to unplug it from the USB port and plug it back in.This keyboard would also randomly launch windows media player, as effectively as enhance the volume and again, the only fix would be to unplug and re-attach. I will in no way purchase a Razer item again. They have always been cheaply produced. The only cause they're as big as they are is since of their involvement with gaming and sponsorship. Its ironic that the gaming community themselves contemplate Razer to be inferior to competitors. With my obtain of this keyboard, I myself have learned this to be correct. If you want Top quality peripherals for your computer system, go with what all the gamers have learned to be top rated notch over the years........LOGITECH. |

Beautifully lit keys, sound reduction on button mash, sturdy and somewhat easy to clean. Adjustable selection of backlit keys (for gaming). Sound, dimming and backlight controls on the keyboard. The bezel is sturdy. Keys, keys, the point of a keyboard...The A important on my very first Lycosa broke following six months. I had to get a new one. I hope it was a fluke, but I purchased the extended warranty this time. This keyboard fees as substantially as a monitor, so it is an investment. The light handle is so sensitive that reaching more than my keyboard frequently turns the backlight off.The keys flake. My ASDW keys are all flaked following 4 months of usage. This isn't excellent for a keyboard produced for gaming. General this is my favored keyboard I have ever owned. I work in IT and I have a huge appreciation for "soft really feel" keys. I am also a graduate student and use this keyboard to kind essays. No matter if the key is over or under applied, they all feel the similar. It's unfortunate that I have had to buy two of these in one calendar year, but I am hoping that was a fluke. |

Overall it is a incredibly nice feeling keyboard, the rubberized keys are wonderful, and the response is great. About ten months after receiving it as a gift the keyboards touchpad stopped functioning (a effectively documented difficulty, even on the Razer website). I emailed Razer to attempt and get it fixed, but located I did not have the receipt. I ultimately was in a position to get it reprinted, but I was unable to send it in to Razer prior to the year ran out (I was hospitalized a few instances, was taking a complete course load at university, and was working full time, apart from getting a life), eventually I was able to send the receipt in (about a year and a half later), but was told there was practically nothing they could do.I accept the need to have to limit return periods, even so Razer's response was absurd. My return approach was started inside the return period, and life just got in the way of finishing it. This is a keyboard they nevertheless carry, with an problem that their assistance team is aware of (the website even has it listed as requiring returns), and alternatively of assisting their team was snarky about how extended it has been. If it were not for the touchpad, and their help group's lack of help I would be heartily recommending this to other folks. With the troubles, I will most likely not be getting more Razer goods. |

Blazing rapid response time, good back lighting, amazing media and lighting controls! Would've giving it 5 eggs if the keys easier to see without the back light on. Not positive why men and women say they have challenges with the buttons or keys. I installed the advise driver and haven't had a fault but. Recommend this keyboard to all gamers. Very tough to see keys with back light off. |

Wonderful looking, superb lighting to the keys and the touch pad is a fantastic concept, when it all operates properly. Keys are responsive and have a fantastic really feel when you are used to the rubberized coating. Owned for about four months now and after the first day I was possessing troubles.-Randomly opens Windows Media player, minimizing something else I'm doing, usually opening up several hundred, creating it imposable to do anything else till corrective action is taken. I purchased this keyboard to play WoW on. This is failure occurs once to twice a night on average. I've adapted many approaches to right the concern, mentioned in other thoughts.-Keys stick or develop into unresponsive, happens nightly an average of when per use -Touch pad bindings to WinMedia player do not function as intended and I can not appear to get it to bind to any other media player.-Generally drops or forgets saved settings such as lighting.-In the event of a reboot error or other occasion where I would have to access a boot menu or safe mode the USB keyboard is unusable-Out of the box drivers are poor, use default system drivers if you can or upload from the Razer website.-Rubberizing picks up skin oils rapidly I purchaced two of these boards, 1 for my wife and 1 for my self.Mine has been rife with concerns, my wife's has not had a issue but.Ways to right for unresponsive keys and touch pad:Keep a box of wipes handy, the no residue no streak type work the very best.If your keyboad begins opening Win Media Player, you can get started by wiping down the touch pad. It's supper sensitive, even hair can bring about it to go haywire. If that does not help, hold the Razer logo on the touchpad for 15 sec to reset the keyboad. These two have solved 90% of my issues. If that did not repair it, unplug it from your Computer and wait 30 sec, then plug it back in (another form of reset). Finaly a Pc reboot if none of the preceding function. |

Contacted Razer assistance about paint rubbed off delete important and their response was they do not sell replacement keys and paint rub is not covered below warranty. |

Looks great and thats about it. This issue game me hell from the get go. At initially the keyboard was good, till immediately after about 30 minutes of playtime and the keys would grow to be unresponsive and some keys would remain stuck (not mechanically but in my game). Then while i would listen to music the keyboard would shuffle through my playlist particularly fast with out me touching it and then freeze up my pc. I originally believed this was computer software or virus challenge but turned out to be this board from hell. let me know when you make a new keyboard. |

If your looking for a dust magnet, dimly backlit keyboard with slow to respond keys that don't reset get this keyboard. Several of my gaming friends own this keyboard and swear by it so perhaps I just got an odd lemon off the assembly line. RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:cheap, bugged, touch-screen multimedia
Pros:cheap, glows Comment:
I had a logitech keyboard for ages, never had any sort of problem with itwas getting old and dirty, decided to change, and since that RAZOR keyboard was not expensive, i tried it.The non-slip keys are interesting, but kinda makes it harder to push, and after a few months of use, i really don't like it.Next thing i don't like is the touch-screen multimedia, every time i want to change the volume the backlit turns off, there is no way to get that backlit always on (why would someone want to not-see the keys?). It takes 3-4 tries to get the PAUSE button, when i'm busy with work and i get a phone call, i don't want to fool with the keyboard to shut the music off.Last, it bugs once in a while, as if a key was always on, and its a software problem, as i crawl under the desk to unplug the 2 USB and plug 'em back and it works OK.I just bought another logitech keyboard, that 70$ RAZOR keyboard goes straight to garbage.check the net, lots of complaints |

It is a decent keyboard not significantly else i can say about it. The computer software driver to the keyboard is extremely flaky I have had to shut off several hot keys and reprogram the keys to make it not open up windows on its personal. Keys stick to typically and I retain it clean, for the dollars I could of bought a quantity of sensible keyboards and they would of worked fine. None |

Neat feeling keys, great feedback. Price seems high for what seems like a typical keyboard. Yeah it has anti-ghosting, but not for the whole keyboard. And yeah it has the media center, but from time to time it can lag or act weird. No macro keys either. So paying for a backlit keyboard with some anti-ghosting... yeah... |
my first keyboard had a problem with the Q key because it will sometimes get stuck. the i claimed warranty from razer which they sent a refurbished one. but now both my shift keys does not work. this keyboard has give me so much head ache i will never buy from razer again.
