RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:-the glossy finish around the keyboard is kind of annoying to clean.
Pros:- glows blue and has an option to only light up the wasd cluster!-very smooth and easy to type-non slip keys-lights can be turned off Comment:
awesome keyboard, for the price, is amazing. The ability to go into game mode and turn of the windows button is probably a reason why this keyboard is on top. Built for gamers! |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:- No macro keys like the successful tarantula
Pros:- Non-slip rubber- Nice glossy finish same as everything else on my system ^^ Comment:
So I just got this keyboard via purolator 2 days ago and it's pretty sweet, I love how the keyboard feels, its like a laptop keyboard, but not..It's got non-slip rubber for intense gaming (not sure if it's really needed but it sure feels good on the fingers)5* |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:High chance that yours will have a flaw in it and need to be returned
Pros:Short keystroke distance, high responsiveness and delicious feeling rubberized coating Comment:
If you don't mind actually returning it to get another one (call Razer for a relatively fast response) if yours is flawed, and you have a relatively specific taste for a short keystroke keyboard, you'll probably appreciate the newer models of the Lycosa. If you're after a normal keyboard, spend your money elsewhere. |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:nothing I can think of
Pros:Looks awesome, feels comfortable. Very sleek Comment:
This keyboard is quite the stuff, feels very comfortable, and is very useful when it comes to gaming. Great drivers and software for macros. One note, don't install the driver from the CD, but install from the online site. Great keyboard overall, backlight could be a little stronger, but I'm not complaining about it as I have it in a tray. |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:everything else
Pros:rubberized keys Comment:
this keyboard is piss-poor quality as part of a fad line of gaming products. I have read several other reviews on this and a plethora of other razer products and they're just horrible. the damn thing doesn't even backlight anymore! The keys randomly stop responding after pressing a series of keys at once(anti-ghosting my arse1). the drivers don't improve performance by a longshot either! what a waste of $90. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CRAP! |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:-not so sure about non-slip-weak lighting-annoying cable
Pros:-slim keys-silencious-backlitted-usb/sound -media keys-disable windows keys mode-toggle lighting on/off Comment:
This is a nice keyboard, not quite so expensive when price matched less than 70, has a lot of useful features, the slim keys makes it interesting, the lighting too, its quite silencious (not as much as a laptop, don't expect the same feeling) but it's very practical with its ability to turn off the windows keys and the multimedia touch-panel.The downsides though are a very weak lighting, especially when viewed from the typing angle (it's nice from above but that's pretty much it) and there's no way to power it up (which I don't understand because lighting only WSAD is much brighter). The cable is annoying too, straight in the middle and can hardly be twised, beware of your monitor's stand. Also I despise the crappy propaganda present in the manual/user guide. But overall it's a very nice keyboard if you get it under 70$, I don't think there'es interesting competition doing the same quality. |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:You can turn off the backlight, but even during the day you cannot see the letters on the keys unless the backlight is on
Pros:Looks goodBacklit keys Comment:
Nice looking keyboard, not the quietest. You can set the backlight to all keys, wasd only or off. When off you cannot see the letters on any keys. The button to change my backlight setting sometimes doesn't work and I have to press several times. Keyboard isn't terrible, but could use some improvements. |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:Defective. I have a defective keyboard that i can't use now. A few keys will lock up from time to time, and change now and then.. sometimes, usually while gaming.. the entire keyboard wil lock up and stop working.. i've tried all the usb ports and installing the latest software for the keyboard... If you don't get a defective one, i'm sure it will be great.
Pros:It's a nice keyboard, i found the lighting to be bright. I don't know how bright some people want it, but it was fine... It's got the classic keyboard layout which is very nice, and it's got a good feel to it. Comment:
It's a good keyboard if it's not defective. Lighting is fine, people want it to be brighter when it's already pretty bright... (maybe your power supply sucks? lol?) it's got the classic key layout which rocks... just there's a bad reputation for this keyboard been defective... It's a good keyboard tho. i just got a defective one. If u order tihs keyboard, u better hopem ur lucky :P This review was modfied by poster @ 09-05-08 12:58 AM |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:-some things dont work on the usb slot-lighting is terrible-awkward left control placement-
Pros:-small size-touch keys Comment:
When I first opened this, 4 buttons were already out of keyboard, I had to stick them back in. The lighting is terrible, you cannot see the keys without the lighting turned on. Also for some reason, the lighting turns off after 10-15 mins by itself, and when this happens, I get a 1 or 2 second lag while in games. The usb slot works for some small things like my card reader, but not for others such as my mini usb vaccum that works when I plug it into my computer's usb slot. The large vertical rectangular + and enter button on the far right is hard to press sometimes, when you hit it right where the lighted symbols are, it does not work, you have to hit it on the bottom or midde for it to work. The placement of the left control is really low, making it more difficult to press while playing fps using wasd. The size is nice and small, touch keys are really cool, you can open up winamp/windows media player/etc with a touch. From my experience, there are alot more negatives than positives, so I give this a 2.5/5. |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:Slight Odor for the first few daysNot Cheap
Pros:Low Noise, Looks Nice, Rubberized Keys are Great. Comment:
While relatively inexpensive for a "gaming keyboard" i can not call these keyboards cheap, but that is not the concern anyways. The Rubberized keys feel great compared to a standard keyboard and the wedge shaped wrist rest is quite comfortable. Backlighting works perfectly and all keys are visable... But, without backlighting keys would be hard to read for those that need it. |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:There is a technical issue with the keyboard that will send two signals to the computer instead of just one. So in games you will walk a very short distance and stop. It can also be hard to keep clean.
Pros:The lights are awesome for playing games in the dark. It's durable and the headphone and mic jacks make this thing awesome Comment:
i give it a 2 because even though it can be very useful, if you can't type or play with it, then there is no point in getting it. |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:Keys get dirty easily and are noticeable. If you want to keep it clean and looking sharp, wash your hands before using it. That's about it, it can get dirty easily, the shiny black gloss finish around the rest of the keyboard can get smudges or scratched easily.
Pros:This keyboard is extremely comfortable to type on. The keys aren't very large and it feels like you are typing on a laptop. The blue backlit keys are extremely clear in the dark and are still visible in the light but not as good. I haven't set up any custom profiles yet but I'm sure they will come in excellent use. The touchpad is very handy for your multimedia controls, works well. Comment:
I highly recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a good solid gaming keyboard. The backlit keys are VERY helpful if you enjoy playing games in an environment with less light available (or none at all)... Extremely clear in the dark. The keys are comfortable and your wrists are supported with the extension on the keyboard. The touchpad is especially helpful with quickly adjusting system volume, changing the song or changing between profiles on the keyboard. I would definately recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable, stylish and comfortable gaming keyboard. Well done Razer! |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:Takes up two USB ports on computer. Glossy black finish gets smudgy quick.
Pros:Nice feel to the keys, good software suite, media keys set up to work with just about any popular media player, ability to switch lighting to full keyboard, WASD cluster or off. Comment:
Just bought this after quite a bit of deliberation, as I had an Ideazon Z-Board that was working fine. Glad I did get this though! Not only does it look slick, it works perfectly as advertised! Worries about keys being unreadable in good lighting have not been realised here, as I can see every letter just fine with the lighting on. And I need darkness when I sleep, so having the function to turn all the lighting off is great. Takes a bit of getting used to for the media keys, but I have yet to push the wrong button. |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:Shorts!Unresponsive Keys!
Pros:Great Feel!Great Look!Quiete and easy to press keys Comment:
Over all I loved this keyboard besides it not functioning properly. Razer has grate products but I read every where about defective razer products. I also purchased their 4000dpi laser mouse which was unresponsive at times aswell. Best overall keyboard I have ever used and looked at even compared to the g15 2nd gen. But when it comes down to it, Its how the product responds (works) and how it long will last. Cons:hard to read the key letters without the backlight on. touchpanel gives no indication when "gaming mode" is active
Pros:Comfortable to type and game on.Excellent programabilityUSB, Headphone and Mic jacks. Amazing looks. Comment:
Performs as advertised. Very comfortable, matches my monitor and Lachesis mouse and far superior to my ideazone z-board. I exchanged my first one because it was defective (unresponsive keys in windows and games) but I will still give it good marks because the replacement I received is amazing. Very happy. |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:- Backlight is annoying. Hard to see without the backlight- Need to sacrifice some keyboard buttons for macroing purpose- Somewhat pricey- Would be nice if it has 2 x USBs
Pros:- Nice feel on the keyboard- Good for FPS gaming- Multiple macros- USB - Sound and mic output Comment:
This keyboard is an upgrade from my mx-700 cordless keyboard. So far I am very happy with it , although, I have some minor annoyances as stated above. |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:-back lights aren't as bright as I'd of hoped... mostly cause a bright computer screen makes the keyboard lit up keys harder to see.-missing many of the extra media keys that my other keyboard had-without back light on it is nearly impossible to see the letters on the keyboard during the day unless it is very bright in the room
Pros:-light up keys (the reason I bought it)-soft to touch keys-very fast response-gaming mode works great for that lousy windows key I sometime hit-accurate response, with my old keyboard some key combinations didn't want to always work but with this one I never had to worry. Comment:
This keyboard does what I wanted it to do. It lights up the lettering so you can see the letters you are pressing during at night. I keep the keyboard lit up 24/7 because it is hard to see the letters on the keys with the back light off.I bought this keyboard knowing it was missing the media keys like mail and messenger. It does everything I want it to, the main thing that I'd like to see is easier to read lettering without the back light on. If it is semi dark you can't see any letters on this keyboard. Also silent touch keys would be nice, I'd rather not hear clicking sounds but it's no worse than any other keyboard that way. Cons:Horrid backlighting: Even at night, I can't tell the difference between a "c" and a "v".
Pros:Great soft feel, wicked looks, nice media keys, great software, ability to disable the windows key. Comment:
This is a great keyboard, that could be an amazing one. But sorry, the backlighting is SAD. I actually found it easier to type when I had only the WASD keys lit up, because then I could actually tell where the w was. The lighting is just WAY too weak. This keyboard has a lot going for it, and I am still using it over my G15 because I love the feel of it. And trust me, I like the feel of the G15 too. Maybe I can find a way to boost the backlight. Luckily I don't look at the keys too much when I type, but just getting set up to start typing is a pain! |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:Keyboard is very light, expected it to be heavierAnti-ghosting only works partially, hitting some common combinations don't work (capslocks + W & A), not truly anti-ghostingNot sure if the key mechanism is actually scissor keys or just membrane.. Sometimes I feel the keys getting stuck but it never does... just doesn't "click" as well as a true scissor key or a cherry switched keyboard, for the price they should have went with one of those systems.Keys are very dim, hard to read even in dark lighting, with lighting off you will not be able to see the keys (if that matters to you)Useless extra attachment cables, the USB extension only runs at 1.1 specs, not 2.0, they also cheaped out on the audio connector, it gives hiss and distortions no matter what, very bad quality/cheaply built cabling on Razer's part.
Pros:Rubber keysLaptop like keysMinimal pressure operate those keysAnti-ghosting (semi-working)Cool touch pad for volume control and media keysSlim, takes up very little space, thinGood rest wrist, stays still and warm, the rest doesn't feel cheap. Comment:
The keys would have benefited if it was made with cherry-type switches or if they were true scissor keys (I really think it's just a membrane). The grip provided by the rubberized surface is excellent, never seen that in a keyboard before. The wrist-rest is also very nice, stable, stays warm to the touch, but other than that it's a very plain-jane keyboard. The 1000hz ultra-polling is sort of useless, wish they had a way for us to change the polling rate as it just takes up extra CPU cycles (NOBODY needs 1000hz, 125hz default USB speed is more than enough). Lighting could have been stronger for the keys, could possibly be fixed via a firmware updated I suppose. The ghosting problem still exists, like a normal average keyboard. Not a truly anti-ghosting keyboard; some key combos don't work at all - only 2 out of the 3 keys you press or hold would register. Bad audio cables, but anyone who is any bit serious about audio wouldn't use the keyboard's ports anyhow. All in all a decent buy, if it was $50 I'm sure it would be flying off the shelves but for $80 you're not getting a lot, other than a few neat features that you can't find in other boards. |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:Can't see a key when backlight is off. A few more hotkey would be nice.
Pros:Absolutely beautiful, feels great for a flat keyboard, and the backlight is cool and easy to see. Comment:
This keyboard is my first Razer keyboard and I am very satisfied with it. It looks cool and performs well as a keyboard (which basicly doesn't perform at all). The keys feels good and smooth, but the pressing range is a little short, of course it's a flat keyboard. The backlight. The backlight is the one thing you wanna keep turned on when you are using it. Truth is, you can hardly see any marking on the keys with backlight off. It is a very worthy keyboard if you don't need the LCD display of G15, and appearance matters some to you. |
