Great on AMD running 2 x 4 gb. |
Got this to replace my i7-4970k's stock fan, and am pleased with its thermal performance and noise level. Under the Prime95 torture test, I saw an immediate 30 degree improvement over the stock fan (though part of this is likely due to the aftermarket thermal compound as well). While idle, it runs nearly silent and keeps the CPU at 23 C-ish. I used to be a Coolermaster Hyper212 Evo fan, but this Raijintek heatsink is cheaper, lower-profile, and easier to install. Would recommend to anyone who's looking to cool their PC without breaking their wallet in half!
