Raijintek Themis CPU Cooler LGA 775/1150/1155/1156/1366/2011/ FM2+/FM2/FM1/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2
Cons:-None worth mentioning
Pros:-Cheap-Cool-Quiet |
Installation: My case (Antec 300) doesn't have a cpu cutout so I had to remove the motherboard. You can secure the backplate with the threaded spacers for the brackets, and then it's as easy as putting the other brackets together to secure the tower. The backplate is plastic and does make firm contact with the motherboard tray without raising it. Honestly, the hardest part about the installation is to gauge how much to thighten down the screws that hold the heatsink in place.Perfomance : It is cooling a Xeon E3 1270 (I7 2600 - 80W TDP)(24°C ambient). With fan control off (1500rpm), max temp under P95 is 54°C and noise is noticeable, too loud for my taste. With fan control at the slower setting (750rpm under load), max temp under P95 is 59°C and it is silent (can't hear it at all over the rest of my system)My old cooler was better than stock and would let the processor get to about 75°C. Got it on sale and with free shipping so I definetly don't regret my purchase.
