Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2014 Elite Razer Green Switch Mechanical Gaming Keyboard USB 5 Macro Keys
Cons:Backlighting does not cover all the shift symbols., useless in the dark. Not terribly cherry ergonomic, more eye candy than anything.Although heavy, standoffs are thin and cheap which does not make this industrial. No drivers or config for M keys, F keys, and usb does not work in Fedora 21.
Pros:Green cherry switches are clicked blunt and confidently. Hammer away at that book like youre typing on an old typewriter! Fairly sturdy, balanced and well weighted frame with standoffs extended. Good if you are after that IBM Model M legacy feel but would rather not import a WASD or Unicomp at 40% more in price. |

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2014 Elite Razer Green Switch Mechanical Gaming Keyboard USB 5 Macro Keys
Cons:None so far
Pros:MacrosGood softwareLooks goodDoesn't slide Comment:
This keyboard wasn't my first choice but now that I have it I'm glad I purchased it. It seemed a bit pricey but it feels very well made. It is fantastic for gaming and fun to type with. It is fairly loud but if that isn't a problem I definitely recommend it. |

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2014 Elite Razer Green Switch Mechanical Gaming Keyboard USB 5 Macro Keys
Cons:Pricey due to it being a Razer product
Pros:Amazing buildMechanical Keys are great5 Macro Keys - programmable Macros on the flyTactile feel (property of mechanical switches)Lights up Comment:
This keyboard is amazing, the only downside is the expensive price. The tactile feel is nice, even if you just use it to type. The verbal feedback (clicks) may seem loud at first, but now I barely even notice it. In skype calls however, comments are regularly made on the sound of my keyboard. |

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2014 Elite Razer Green Switch Mechanical Gaming Keyboard USB 5 Macro Keys
Cons:Can't really find a big change wit the new green switch.Expensive keyboard
Pros:Mechanical,Long cable,Colour blavk mat = no finger print Comment:
My old keyboard was the first model of the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate with blue led and it shiny plastic body every time you touch it you got fingerprint. The new Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2014 Elite got a new black mat body and it look better no more fingerprint wen you touch your keyboard. The led are now green and it use the new Razor green mechanical switch. The new mechanical switch is pretty good but I can't really fell a big difference between the new and the old switch model. In the first model the blue led are not protected now with this new version a transparent plastic protect the green led. Also all Razer BlackWidow keyboard got a long cable with a usb and headphone conector. Finally I can say it one of the best keyboard on the market. |
I would have bought a WASD compact but they cost a lot more to ship. Unicomps are kinda out of date (still taking credit cards over the phone and too busy to get to your online order questions answered) and getting my (one of three) Model M's refurbished is too much to track on ebay and way too much on clickykeyboards.com. Ergonomics get 2 stars, Functionality gets 3 stars (one if you run Linux), Backlight gets 2 stars.NCIX shipping experience was a treat, fun to buy, great over the phone service, online tracking results, and issue free invoice and policy. Note that Xpresspost fell back on the expected vs. actual delivery dates.
