Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Cons:- not recognized in Windows 7 64-bit when I initially plugged it into any USB port (all of my drivers and Windows update s are current). You have to DL an update d driver from Microsoft. Once this was done it still was detected but the drivers wouldn't install. I then had to update the driver through properties within devices section which finally worked. I suspect this is due to the RAZER ONZA being a non-standard gamepad (it has an extra 2 buttons) compared to the wired MS controller which I also use and is detected everytime without any problems.
Pros:- adjustable tension on both analog sticks- d-pad has individual buttons for each direction- buttons can be remapped and customized on the fly - 15 foot cable (this is a great feature, my 55" Pany plasma is 12 feet away)- rubberized grip- X Y B A buttons are backlit- overall quality of this controller is very good Comment:
This is a great controller despite the initial detection and driver installation issues I had. It was not a simple plug and play device. However, once up and running it works flawlessly and has a great feel to all the buttons and analog sticks. For $30 that I paid on sale, it is easily better than the MS wired controller that sells for over $40. Highly recommended. |

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Cons:- Analog sticks could be better- Not compatible with chat pad or older mics
Pros:- Mechanical buttons are great- Long cord- Break away feature on the cord- No drivers needed for PC Comment:
I purchased this for $40 on sale. It was a great deal, now I can use it on my PC and 360. Only thing I don't like about it is that I can't use my gaming headset with it. |

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Cons:Cannot be turned off without unplugging it.
Pros:Responsive, long braided cable, backlit buttons, light, works right out of the box on win 7, rempap buttons Comment:
I already had the regular Onza for a while now so i knew what i was getting. I use it only for PC and it works great, its responsive and light. The backlit buttons is a nice addition but the adjustable resistance on the analog sticks is not usefull to me, I use it as is. I wish there was an OFF button beacause some games use the controller by default if its plugged in, but its not a huge gripe. |

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Cons:Horrible quality.
Pros:Very nice alternative to the standard controller. Comment:
This is my second Razer Onza TE. Both have had the same problem, the left analog stick craps out after a few weeks. I would recommend it to everyone I know, if you didn't need to return it every 2 weeks. |

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Cons:This isn't really a con, but the cord is super long and does get in the way. The placement of the start and select is kind of odd, but probably just takes some getting used to since it's different from the traditional Xbox controller.
Pros:Feels great. Solidly built, and the buttons are very responsive. Of course the adjustable resistance on the analog sticks are the claim to fame for this controller, and it works just as most have praised it. Great for sensitivity adjustments. Comment:
Awesome! Works straight out of box for my PC. Couldn't ask for more for the price. |

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Cons:not compatible with all games out of the box, but that's minor and there are programs to help with that(PC). Smaller than I expected.extra buttons are not fully programmable, can only be programmed to existing functions.
Pros:adjustable tension is great for spazzy gamers like me. responsive, long cord. all good. Comment:
I was having huge problems before I got this controller, picked up dirt 3 with a video card, on Key board and mouse I found it far too twitchy, just no way to keep the car on the track.Problem solved once I got this guy, way better control where finesse is required. very good purchase. |

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Cons:No/very small deadzone on left analog can cause problems in rare gamesD-pad is no good for fighting games
Pros:Buttons are awesomeCable is long and made the same way as razer's mouse cables Comment:
Excellent replacement option for a 360 pad, the buttons feel like 'clicky' mouse buttons and it's hard to go back to a normal controller. The LEDs and rubberized surface are pretty minor additions, but I did get some use out of the adjustable analog tension. The programmable buttons can be really nice depending on the game. For example you could set them to 'melee' in an FPS so you could circle strafe while punching even if it's normally set to B. |

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Cons:- Not available in a wireless form (but the wireless controllers from M$ are supposedly a compatability nightmare for the PC, plus the ONZA TE's braided 15ft cable is still very nice).- Adjustable sticks are said to be adjustable to around 30 "clicks" (this was quoted from the FAQ on Razer's website), which seems like a vague over-estimae compared to reality. In addtition, the adjusting mechanism (whatever it is!) feels loose at times, and, while I've heard elsewhere that they are reliable, feel like they can be easily broken if abused.- Seem to have an asymetrical dead-zone (the zone where, when the analog sticks are held there, do not send input to the PC / 360). They are just fine when trying to look up and down, but side to side has a noticeable gap between when you tilt the right stick and when the crosshairs start to move. This makes aiming with the degree of prescision promised by Razer EXTREMELY difficult. I suspect however that this is a driver related issue more than a hardware issue. Solution? Get 3rd party drivers compatible with the old 360 wired controller (there are a few out there), and see if they let you adjust the size of the dead zone, which should solve the problem. Don't be fooled though! The feel of them is INCREDIBLE, and I am still a much better shot despite the problems.- D-Pad is not backlit.
Pros:- Buttons are highly responsive, and have a satisfying, unique feel to them.- D-pad feels sturdy and is EONS better than those of the original, and (in my opinion) even the new 360 controllers by microsoft.- Fully compatible with both PC and 360 (uses default win7 drivers for PC)- Start / back buttons are no longer next to the guide button, which was a horrendous place for them to be in Halo / CoD.- Multi-Function buttons are appropriately sized and spaced, little to no confusion as to which is a MFB and which is a LB/RB (though they do take about a day to get used to). They also have a nice click to them, but so did the original controller's bumpers.- Nice non-slip finish to reduce smears, smudges, fingerprints, grime, and, of course, slippage while gaming.- Analog sticks are adjustable (more on this later).- Feels like your holding an original controller (in terms of relative weight and ergonomics).- Backlit. Comment:
NOTE: I have not yet tested this for the 360, so your results may VARY GREATLY. For PC though, this thing Rocks!Let me be perfectly clear: This product is a MUST-BUY if you are looking for a new controller / gamepad and are sick of the limitations of the original design. The overall look and feel of the device are incredible, and the performance will blow your mind. The buttons make a WORLD of difference, the MFB's make virtually any control scheme usable with a little practice (in shooters, they allow anyone to tailor the game to their desires, and allow me, personally, to play any shooter without ever having to take my fingers off the thubsticks EVER AGAIN!), the D-pad alone is a reson to buy this thing if you happen to like fighting games at all, and the analog sticks, despite all that I said, are a definite improvement over the originals, which just seem loose and almost broken by comparison.BOTTOM LINE: If need a new controller, BUY AN ONZA! If you have an extra $10, MAKE IT A T.E.!!!! The extra features you get for the money are well worth it. |

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Cons:not as for pc as a good gaming mouse
Pros:Good feel and its black Comment:
Great xbox controller. Much better than those standard white ones you get with your console. It plays ok with pc games but doesn't compare to a good mouse. |

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Cons:Headset input for live
Pros:quality materials, good feel, braided cable, tension adjustable thumb sticks. Comment:
Awesome controller. I have no major complaints or issues as this controller so far has proven to be well made. You can use "Kontrol Freaks" on the thumb sticks but only if you adjust the thumbstick tension enough for clearance. My only real complaint is about the headset jack. It is NOT compatible with the 360 headset or headsets that use a similar connection method. I also have a 3rd party headset and I had to go out and buy a standard 3.5mm jack cable along with a 3.5mm TO 2.5mm adapter in order to connect my headset to this controller. Besides the standard headset connector being unusable unless modified....if you do modify it, it will still obstruct the start and back (select) button.Overall, awesome controller, super quick response face buttons...great grip...everything it's advertised to be. |

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Pros:Quality, response time
Comment:
Got his on sale and its worth it. The cord is sleeved and it has a good build quality. I got the non-tournament edition and this one feels a bit heavier. The sticks sensibility works pretty well and the on the fly custom buttons are quite useful (especially on Halo). You get A HUGE PLUS ON THIS ONE with the backlit ABYX buttons (yes this is sarcasm) but otherwise all the tools are there to help you step up your game! |

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Gaming Controller
Cons:- Not able to turn off backlit buttons- Adjusting analog sticks not easy
Pros:- Good Build Quality- Additional Features Compared to OEM Microsoft 360 Controller- Heavy Duty Cord Comment:
Picked this up primarily for PC gaming but works great on the 360 Console as well. The braided long cord seems heavy duty and the coating adds to the overall great build quality. Analog sticks and buttons are super responsive and two additional buttons that can be mapped are useful.Only negatives are the adjustable analog sticks are not easy to turn. They require a lot of force to turn and I feel I might break them if I'm not gentle.Additionally I leave my PC on and there is no way to turn off the backlit (X,Y,B,A) buttons when plugged in. I would assume this isn't a issue at all for most people. One can just unplug or turn off their console when not in use. |
I have bought two of these so far. It is a very responsive and light controller, also I love the backlit buttons. I bought a second one because after about six months the trigger started to fail when it was pushed all the way down. The tension adjustable sticks work really well if you want a lower or higher sensitivity on a certain stick such as in a fps where you might want to have more precise aiming. Overall a really good controller that has more features than the microsoft default controller and is also cheaper than it, would recommend anyone with an xbox to get it.
