Razer Tiamat 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset
Cons:Drivers need a bit of work IMO and am realizing more than one speaker per ear is a bit over rated
Pros:Good sound for price. |

Razer Tiamat 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset
Cons:Cheap, mine didn't fully last this long
Pros:Awesome Positional Awareness Comment:
Now to start this review over again. NCIX please make your advertisement links open in a separate tab. I accidentally click on a ad on here, while I was scrolling down. I wasn't quite finished with writing my review but I am starting over.I think this is importantIf your buying gaming headset for audio quality, don't buy a gaming headset, if you want to listen to music and or watch movies, buy something designed for music and movies. Music Generally stereo is fine consider music is only in stereo unless your listening to cinematics in movie. Music Stereo headset with good quality sound. With movies 5.1 or 7.1 will do depending on how many movies you own that actually support 7.1. Now for the Pros-This like above has awesome positional Awareness with my 7.1 analog surround sound card.-Saves my ass so many times in online fps games-People will have less chance of being able to sneak up on you.-Love them for being able to tell which direction the are coming from.-Also with the mic great for communicating with your teammates Now for the cons-Cheap didn't fully last 15 months, dam warranty only 1 year.(think its horrible company's don't stand behind there products) Come on 1 year that's horrible. I think 3 years at least for something like this.-Mic works well most of the time however sometimes not very clear.OverallSince they have no competition this is a good product for online gaming for positional awareness.SummeryRead reviews online, and read the support sound card documents. Google search is your best friend. |

Razer Tiamat 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset
Cons:Lack of overall bass.
Pros:SEXY AS **** Comment:
==============================I Give these headphones a 2 STAR rating** out of *****==============================I wasn't allowed to rate 2 stars without an OrderID so 3 stars it is.I used these for two days and the 7.1 mode made everything sound like the bass was turned off during music listening and movie watching. When I did fire up a game like battlefield 3, i only heard bass when i fired my own gun but not when i was shot by others. In the end I felt the sound was weaker than I expected. These headphones are incredibly impressive and look and feel like the future but they didnt perform well for me and thats where the value lies. I got better performance out of my 20$ DJ style headphones from Monoprice.com |

Razer Tiamat 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset
Cons:requires a good sound card , bulky, not the best for glasses wearers
Pros:amazing sound, great design , ok mic Comment:
The first time i tried this it felt uncomfortable because i wear glasses, but when i take them off there great. The sound is the best i have ever heard, simply great , the mic could be better. It's pretty comfortable when you put it on (if you don't wear glasses). It would be worth it if it had a better mic. other than the mic, worth every penny. |

Razer Tiamat 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset
Cons:-Very Expensive-Mic is ok-Bass is lacking (plenty for the average user)
Pros:-Top sound quality-2.1 actually isn't all that bad with music/movies.-Easy to set up and great feature for adding your own speakers-Control over drivers-Very comfortable-Amazing look Comment:
Just picked up the headset from NCIX a few hours ago and it's pretty good so far. I also don't have any buzzing and am using my normal motherboard, no external power sourse. However, I am using a higher end sound card. Auzentech Meridian 2G. As many have said before, the mic is ok but it's not completely terrible. With a bit of adjust you can make it pretty clear for the most part. As well as the fact there is a tinny sound with high pitched music on 7.1. Is it worth the $200, yes and no. If you want something to match the directions games are going and movies already have with 7.1, then by all means get one. However, if you are not, don't get this headset. You'd be much better off with a regular pair of headphones. As for the bass, I'm a bit crazy with it so the headset is lacking personally, but the average person should find it plenty good. --4.5/5-- |
Although these headsets are pretty good, in retrospect I would've spent the money on a good ol' 2-speaker headset.
