This is a great headset. The sound is astounding if you pair it with a decent 5.1 sound card and play with the settings a little. I had issues using this headset initially with my ancient Audigy2 (loud noises/hisses in games, friends complaining about mic quality/static, Tip'n'Control not working properly) so I purchased an ASUS XONAR DG on sale which cleared up all my issues and gave me better control over the sound (EQ, effects, LFE crossover, etc...) While I had issues with the headset initially, the headset itself was not the cause of the issues so did not mark as a con.

By far the greatest headset I've ever owned highly recommend this to anyone looking for great quality sound for gaming or even watching movies. The Tip N Control is amazing with all the features and capabilities!

Great headset, the sound is fantastic. Im no audiophile, but it sounds great in games, friends all say Im almost TOO clear on mic now. The mic does pick up pretty much everything, as well, but I dont use push-to-talk in games so of course it will pick up everything. THe ear-piece pads are pretty thick and block out all other noise, which may or may not be a good thing considering you can barely even hear a knock at the door to your computer room. My only real complaint is that the pads on the headband are not nearly padded enough, so combined with the weight of the headset it really starts to dig into your head after a while. I've foudn myself putting a facecloth or such between the headset and my head just for the added padding.

This is a great headset overall. Despite i had a defective unit and had to exchange them. that can happen even with the very best equipment. The sound quality on the Kave is great and the mic offers good sound quality as well. With a proper sound card these are wonderful and really make my gaming experiences much more enjoyable

I bought these to replace an old set of Sony over ear headphones that were "decent" at the time I bought them years ago. I also have a 5.1 setup but rarely use it due to sleeping kids / wife. Right away these were an improvement, the sounds were noticeably directional and vibrant. One note was I found I needed to increase my bass settings (not to max) but more important the treble needs to be cranked up. Stock bass and treble made for a muddy sound, lacking any crispness or reality to the world. It took some tweaks to get the right balance. Once adjusted and all the proper 5.1 settings activated in sound card and games it has been great, in BF3 it has saved me countless times now that I know where to turn!!! The first day I caught myself look over my right shoulder in real life when startled by an explosion. Furthermore I am hearing sounds my old cans didn't even transmit or were covered up by others.Speaking of startled, these things keep the outside world sounds out! I'm used to being able to hear the sounds in the house vaguely but with these the Wife scared the crap out of me walking up behind me. I almost wish I could hear a bit to avoid that.Overall, I looked at various headsets and considering I was 99% focused on gaming quality the true 5.1 coupled with my soundcard made this a very good pick.
