This is a thick, sturdy cable with quality building. For its length and high quality, the price tag is great! Some might view thickness and weight as a con, but I see it as high quality engineering. Very easily twice the thickness of other DVI cables I have seen. YES, this does have the extra conductors for the analog signal if you want to use a DVI --> VGA adapter. The thickness and weight indicate to me that the signal conductors are thick and well shielded for a ideal signal. Its rather stiff. Sharp bends will push back with important resistance, so dont plan to slam the door on it. Its thick and heavy like the old parallel port cables for 1990s printers. But I suspect you are selecting this one particular for its 15' length and low price. I required the length for an oddball furniture arrangement. My monitor was a single of those with out the holes for the analog pins. This was effortlessly fixed by meticulously flexing and pulling the analog pins out with needle nosed pliers. Not absolutely everyone is prepared to do this, so please, check your DVI socket first.

Good high quality cable. Powerful connections and nicely protected. Not the cable I needed to extend the video display from my graphics card to my monitor. This capabilities an more + sized pin, generating it unusable in most video cards and monitors. Didnt bother returning it in the event I ever require this variety of connection.

However this a Dual Link wire, not a common DVI cable like the a single that came with my monitor, if your video card or your monitor does not support Dual Link DVI you could will need an adapter, or get a normal DVI cable, this cable is twice the thickness of my original cable. However I would have rather had a regular DVI cable as to this Dual Link cable, as I skilled some troubles until I figured out this was not a normal DVI cable.

It works. Saved 562% getting from NewEgg as an alternative of nearby shop. It is a DVI-I Cable, but I knew this when I purchased it - see Other Thoughts. it gets the job accomplished it works and i didn't have to return it, even if i did, Newegg.com would be there for me i own an Acer x221w, you have to transform the setting from analog to digital when the personal computer loads or it will not work; also, i didn't want 15', i don't know why i didn't get the smaller one, i guess i saw much more for ũ and got content? :-)

the cable is on its way havent tryed it out yet. non so far hear is wat you do use the Rosewill-702 DVI-I ྸƳ Female to Female Adapter for thoes additional 4 pins. Then use the DVI-D cable that came with the monitor. plug the cable into the adaptr then into the monitor. that ought to do it.
