Necessary new ones result in the filter was get-in old..... a note to Newegg -Why not sell the filters like ten or so to a pack? .... They do the job on cutting down on dust. Newegg - sell the filters alone! I have two other people & it does cut down the dust properly.... The EGG's service.....Excellent!

Filters the air, effortless set up. None. I don't undestand why some folks claim they had to drill their own holes? The frame that holes the filter has 4-holes which align to the fan frame's four-holes; the filter goes on this frame; then the cover snaps on the outdoors. No purpose to make holes on the cover???

Uncomplicated to setup, performs good. Currently seeing a massive amount of dust trapped by it. None to speak of. Needed modifications to fit on the side vent of my Antec 300 (namely removing the factory fan cage).

Filter dust from 120mm intakes, does a good job of it. Doesn't truly decrease airflow as well considerably. Effortless to apply. Personally I didn't like paying 5 dollars for it, but whatever.

When I ordered these, I was unsure how they would set up. The filter really comes in two parts. The initially aspect is a plastic frame that bolts on the outside of your case when installing the fan. Then the filter itself snaps over the frame. None When installing intake case fans, it is very best to filter them so to maintain out alot of the dust that would otherwise get sucked into your technique.

1. straightforward to install two. filter material, foam kind catches smaller sized particles than most stock case screen form filters 1. Filter material will degrade faster than screen type filters what your paying for is the bracket that holds the filterUSE AT YOUR Personal DISCRETION! --> most hardware or home improvement stores sell this form of filter material in bulk, I even located some at the pet shop labeled for aquarium biological filtration system

Has a thin foam filter, like you'll discover in a lot of situations. It does the job of filtering dust but is "airy" sufficient to not be too restrictive to airflow. Just run a vacuum hose across the grill and you'll clean it fine. A speedy glance will inform you there are no screw holes in the "front" of the grill. This signifies it has to be mounted in FRONT of the fan, with screws holding it on from behind (which aren't integrated). A handful of troubles with this:- Much more and far more folks are making use of soft silicone fan mounts these days. Many fans come with them, and there's no reason not to use them more than screws. Definitely you can't use them here, with no hole to pull them through.- Men and women don't only want to retain dust out of the CASE; you also don't want dust obtaining on the fan rotors or in the motor. So clearly you genuinely want the filter mounted "behind" the fan, filtering the air Ahead of hitting the fan. This is not possible, once more since there are no through-holes, just screw "pits."Of course, it requires about 30 seconds with a rotary tool to drill some holes yourself and remedy this. But come on...such a easy device need to not will need modifying to fulfill its simple goal. I didn't buy this exact filter, but another 1 that is literally exactly like it, just with a slightly diverse grill pattern. There are a lot of variations of this precise thing out there, regrettably all "front-only."

Super easy install. Does what it's meant to do. A need to have if your current intake fans are not filtered None Some users complain of not getting mounting position rear/front choice for the filter. That would eliminate the point of getting a removable filter to clean if I had to unscrew items. Installed on Antec 300 case side fan

keeps dust out of the case, i mean what else not considerably if it fits in your case. Was pretty annoying for me to install, but that's possibly due far more to the case I have the Antec 900 case, and it took some work but i got it to fit. This filter is a piece of foam sandwiched between two plastic grills. I got rid of one of the grills and was able to squeeze it in involving the front fan, and the metal mesh plate of the case. I don't know there may be a much better way to do it but this worked for me even though it was pretty annoying

Very sturdy. No way to attach them. Ordered by error, but an RMA would've cost more, so I kept them. After a couple of days, I decided to stick em on my case and they're truly nice. Basic to snap off and replace the filter, which I discovered at a nearby hardware shop. While it's not something I'd commonly consider, it wasn't substantially trouble. So, in the finish it wasn't a waste.

InexspensiveSimple to perform withStraightforward to cleanEffortless to set upKeeps fans blades and Computer interior clean/dust free of chargeCan be installed virtually anywhere you have a 120mm fan NONE I see some men and women saying there is no way to attach them??? Seriously, I was confused at initial as well. They split apart, come in half - the top rated comes off. Split them at the seam, safe the bottom half, with the current fan screws, then snap the top rated back on. They go outdoors the case, vacuum them once a week, or pop off cover and rinse them. ***For those that could not figure this out, IF YOU VACUUM THEM, LEAVE THE Top rated COVER ON, OR THE FILTER MATERIAL WILL BE SUCKED NTO YOUR VACUUM***

It functions great if you know how to essentially spot the issue. It comes with the plastic grill that you dont actually require so be ready to get creative. I managed to spot mine inside my situation instead of outdoors. I didn't like the black plastic grid so I got rid of the front cover and placed the foam straight between the back of the fan and the remaining grid. The airflow and screws actually hold the foam in place. Not really certain what they expect you to do with the plastic grid obtaining holes only on one side. I guess they count on you to get rid of your old grid. The foam doesnt have holes in it either so be careful of it twisting around your screw when you screw it in.

Keeping all the dust out of my laptop or computer before it even gets to the fan. Uncomplicated to install. Gets dirty quickly :) I mounted mine to the outdoors of my case. You do not require screws for this...you don't even need to have to open your case when you clean them. When you mount it inside on the other side of your fan the dust can nonetheless hit the filter and go to the sides and inside your situation. As long as you do not thoughts it hanging on the outside of your situation this is the best way to go.

-Uncomplicated Style-Easily removed for cleaning: A sturdy small plastic piece screws onto the fan. The filter retainer than snaps onto the plastic piece.-Relatively inexpensive-Holds a decent amount of dust-Does not increase noise level of fans due to proximity -Screws not included. Not a issue if you are a builder and maintain a huge inventory of screws. On the other hand, this will be a minor problem if you are shopping for this for a shop bought Pc.-Filter itself is not the highest high quality material. The foam will wear more than extended use. -A filter will inevitable restrict airflow. Keep an eye on it or you can result in your computer components to overheat.
