functions fine with my SD and SD(HC) cards. the bright blue flashing light is overkill and annoying in darker settings 1 of my PCs won't recognize the reader on its front USB ports. most likely not the reader's fault. |

No issues when it's plugged in- functions well with each 2gb SD and micro SD (in SD adapter). Low-cost. Wonderful for transferring images from a camera to a laptop while traveling. *Extremely* cheap construct- caps are always falling off (I now rubber band the entire factor together) and have began to break apart. It's too fat to fit into quite a few cases that have recessed usb ports. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,We are sorry for the inconvenience this could have brought on you. We attempt to provide the most trustworthy products to our buyers. We would be more than happy to replace this unit for you. Please e-mail us at rma@rosewill.com for your replacement. We look forward to hear from you soon. Thanks,Rosewill Customer Care |

The reader itself is fantastic. It reads from and writes to the SD card incredibly quickly with no driver needed. The plastic casing was quite thin and low-cost, and started to disintegrate nearly right away. The caps were the very first factor to go (they kept falling off), and then ultimately the case about the circuit board went as nicely. I ended up working with it with a bare circuit board until it finally broke - with no the protection of the plastic, the metal slot the SD card fits into bent away from the circuit board and stressed the solder connections sufficient that it no longer worked. There are other, better SD/USB adapters out there. Locate them. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client,We are sorry for the inconvenience this could have triggered you. Item works great and does what it is supposed to do. None at this time. Wish it came with a Sony pro/duo adapter :) I decided to go this route instead of a slot monted permanent card reader/drive. None of them had fantastic sufficient reviews to convince me. I have only applied this to move music and image files to my phone/card. |

Reads each of my SDHC cards both are patriot one is an 8 gig card and the other is a four gig. The rear cap fits totally more than the installed SD card generating the entire unit look just like any normal USB thumb drive. Now my cards are pulling double duty in my camera and to carry in my pocket to and from perform as a USB thumb drive. The caps fit excellent and stay on in my pocket. Remains to be observed how durable the caps are but they have worked just fine so far. Now I don't have to have a separate USB thumb drive. I just put an SD card in this and go. I have an optical Rosewill mouse too which functions just fine. So far the brand is two for two for me. |

works good. no complains. just ordered a second 1 and newegg is good none so far, but see Other Believed... Card reader works, but if I leave it plugged into the usb hub and try to reboot the laptop or computer locks up at the initial screen. I haven't tested this on other machines/OS's (I run win7 64) but I am certain it's not a windows problem, as the machine halts prior to windows loads. Like I mentioned, I purchased a second one, but wanted everybody to know about this 'feature' so if it causes you the same problems you'll know the remedy. |

Inexpensive (single digit $; no S&H) and it does specifically what it's listed as performing. Has worked flawlessly with each Windows XP, Windows 7 and Ubuntu. After nicely over one year, 1 finish cap did crack at a pressure point. But it still fits as snugly as it ever did which isn't saying considerably. For the cost paid, the two units turned out to be wonderful values. Even if they both fail tomorrow, I'm satisfied. You pay for what you get and thinking about one of these factors cost much less than a low cost six-pack of beer there are no complaints. Soon after all, you rent the beer, this factor sticks around. |

It read my 16GB SDHC card right away with no trouble. The glossy black paint makes it look fairly nice. The way the rear cover completely hides the inserted SD card is a massive plus. Although not everyone likes blue LEDs, I like the blue activity LED. Overall, a quite aesthetically pleasing card reader, aside from the wideness required to fit an SD card. The hole in the rear cap for putting it on a keyring is fairly small. This could not fit on thick keyrings. Those wanting to read smaller cards (miniSD, microSD) will need to dig out their adapters, simply because this only takes large cards. Looks nice and works properly, in particular for the price. |

None This unit failed 28 days into NE's 30 return policy.Absolutely nothing wrong with NE they often earn 5 Eggs. But Rosewill's Call Center is quite a great deal lacking assistance . The CC CSR I talked with was bearly able to spaek clearly, and implied that he could not support since the item was SO NEW ! I sent an e-mail to Rosewil and received just about the same outcomes. It appears like Rosewill sell but does not extend service. This is the second USB SD vehicle Adapter I purchashed. The 1st one did last about two years. But again Rosewill would not replace it.Greatful to Newegg. The are sending a replacment which I expect delievry soon. I would suggest anybody requiring anUSB SD C/R to take into account deciding on Corsair or Adata....Rosewil lis not offering any immediately after sales service at all. five Eggs fo Newegg.com as usual ! |

I bought to replace a SanDisk model that didn't support SDHC cards. It works just fine on my macbook or any pcs. Its pretty cool that it's as small as a flash drive with the SD card inserted and the caps on. Fast, modest, and it works! none |
Dependable. Uncomplicated to use. None. Note: In order to swap out SD cards I uncover that I need to get rid of the USB device, then modify SD cards. It is not enough to simply disconnect the device through the method tray correct-click solution.
